How The NFC South Will Be Won

As Week 16 draws near, the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints will do battle in Charlotte,NC. What will basically be the NFC South Championship Game. Both squads enter the game with a 10-4 record not only looking to win the division but get a grip on the number 2 seed in the NFC. That 2nd seed is huge joining the Seattle Seahawks with a bye week during the opening round of the postseason. Two weeks ago Drew Brees led the Saints to a win over Cam Newton and the Panthers in the Superdome. If they can win Sunday down in Carolina and sweep the season series that will rap the division title up. However if Cam Newton can lead his team to victory they'll reek the benefits of having the inside track to the division title and opening round bye. The surprising Arizona Cardinals who head to Seattle to play the Seahawks are 9-5 on the outside looking in on the Wild Card picture, yet still in the hunt. If Arizona can win they will have a 10-5 record like the loser of Carolina/New Orleans. Which could play a role on who's in and who's out a week from now.

Nike Foamposites Were Labeled Ugly In 1997 / Now They Fly Off The Shelf

When Anfernee 'Penny' Hardaway was healthy during the mid 1990's he was one of the dopest players in the NBA ! He consistently rocked that Nike fire, eventually getting his own sneaker line and beside the Air Jordan line, the Penny line had to be the livest around. Back in 1997 when the 1st pair of Penny Foamposites were released people said the shoe was ugly, they also said it was to expensive at $180. Now as we leave 2013 and enter 2014 regardless of the colorway Foamposite and Foamposite Pro don't stay on the shelf for too long. Their are a demand a craze for them. The cheapest retail price for them is around $200-$225. People that desire sneakers brave the elements for Jordan's and Foams more than they do for Lebron's, Kobe's or Durant's. Man how times have changed in the sneaker industry. I own 1 pair of Foams the Orlando Magic road colorway of Black & Royal Blue.

Victor Cruz Rocks Gamma Blues ! But My Favorite XI Colorway Is ?

Superbowl winning wide receiver Victor Cruz of the New York Football Giants laced up a pair of Air Jordan XI's. The former Pro Bowl split end has an extensive sneaker collection. The Gamma Blue XI's officially released Saturday December 21st, 2013. Many sneaker fans braved the long lines to purchase Jordan Brand latest release. Personally I passed on this release. I'm looking forward to the Air Jordan I Bred, which is set to officially release Saturday December 28th, 2013. I have 3 pair of XI colorways in my personal collection : Concords / Space Jams / Playoffs. The Air Jordan XI Playoffs are my favorite Jordan Brand sneaker of all time. I love the black/red Chicago Bulls colors. I'm sure Jordan Brand will have everyone on their toes with the various releases coming in 2014.

Kanye West Leaves Nike Signs With Adidas...Drake Inks Jordan Brand Deal

Kanye West is from Chicago. Drake is from Toronto. Both hip hop artist are at the top of their game with the music they make. Both of these gentlemen are also making plenty of sneaker noise as well. Kanye West has left Nike. West had popular selling Air Yeezy's during his time with the Swoosh. However Kanye revealed he didn't have any royalties with Nike. That was a huge reason why Kanye bounced and joined Adidas. Adidas will give West the royalties he yearned for with Nike, yet did not get. Drake seems to always rock the mic on stage with some Mike's or J's. Drake announced he has now partnered up with Jordan Brand and now is an official member. Drake rocks some dope colorways of various Air Jordans. Drake will also partner up with his hometown Toronto Raptors has they will host the 2015 NBA All Star Game. 2014 will be an interesting sneaker year for Kanye and Drake, let's see what they'll cook up not only in the music lab, but the sneaker lab with their respective companies.

Broncos & Patriots Will Decide AFC Home Field Advantage

During their Week 11th match up New England came back from a 24 point deficit to defeat Denver in overtime. It was the 14th installment of Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning. Brady has 10 wins vs. Manning with 4 wins. Many football fans and experts would love to see those two hook up for a 15th time during the playoffs. Heading into NFL Week 13 Denver is 10-2, meanwhile New England is 9-3. Even though the Patriots currently trail the Broncos for the AFC playoffs overall number one seed, it's a chance they could eventually take over as the top seeded team. New England obviously holds the head to head tie breaker, if both teams end the season with the same record. Tom Brady is looking to win his 4th World Championship while playing in his 6th Superbowl. Peyton Manning is looking to win his 2nd World Championship while playing in his 3rd Superbowl. Will the road to New York/New Jersey Superbowl in February go through Foxborough or Denver ? Let the games begin to decide home field throughout the postseason !

Brees & Wilson To Meet On MNF In A Game That Could Decide Home Field Advantage

Quarterback Drew Brees will lead the 9-2 New Orleans Saints into Qwest Field. They will take on quarterback Russell Wilson and the 10-1 Seattle Seahawks. Which obviously will be a huge step for the winner of this Monday Night Football showdown in securing home field advantage throughout the NFC Playoffs. The Superdome and Qwest Field are two of the toughest and most dangerous places for opposing teams to come into play. Now we know come tournament time every team is 0-0 however if your a fan of the Saints or Seahawks you have to feel great if you don't have to leave your home stadium unless you reach the Superbowl. Experts will ask can New Orleans win in Seattle ? or Can Seattle win in New Orleans ? Well come Monday Night at least one of those questions will be answered. Simply sit back and enjoy the game.

Portland In The West & Indiana In The East Are Off To Blazing Starts

Last season Miami and San Antonio battled for 7 hard fought games during the NBA Finals and entering Black Friday 2013 the Heat are 12-3 with an 8 game winning streak. The Spurs are 13-2 and has won 9 out of their last 10. However early on the Portland Trailblazers a team who was in the Western Conference playoff picture until the final couple of weeks last season are 13-3. Indiana who took Miami to 7 games during last season Eastern Conference Finals are a current NBA best 14-1. Now we know during an 82 game NBA season it's a marathon not a sprint. We will have to see who will be standing in April, May and June. The Trailblazers are led by Damian Lillard last seasons R.O.Y and All Star big man LaMarcus Aldridge. Indiana has got terrific play out of Paul George and improved play out of Lance Stephenson.

This Week Head Coaches Mike Tomlin & Jason Kidd Tried To 'Help' Their Teams

Future Hall Of Fame point guard Jason Kidd recently retired from the NBA. Now he is the head coach of the 4-11 Brooklyn Nets. Earlier this week at the Barclays Center Kidd 'intentionally' spilled his water with no time outs remaining. While ball boys rushed to the Nets bench to clean up the spill, Kidd utilized that opportunity to draw up a play for his team. The LA Lakers hung on to win the game. The NBA investigated the spill and Kidd has been fined $50,000. Earlier this season he was suspended because of a DUI charge from this past summer. Kidd and his Nets team must get it together and get it together quickly. Meanwhile on Thanksgiving Night down at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, the Ravens took on AFC North rival Pittsburgh. Baltimore would go on to win and hold off the Steelers come back attempt. However during a Ravens punt return early in the 4th quarter it would appear Mike Tomlin interfered with Jacoby Jones. Jones was forced back inside as the Steelers made the tackle, if not for Tomlin brief on field interference Jones could have gone all the way. Replays showed Tomlin laughing about what he did. The NFL probably will investigate the play.

Broncos Hand Chiefs 1st Loss Of The Season

Andy Reid the 1st year Kansas City Chiefs coach led his team into Denver 9-0, looking for a 2 game lead over their AFC West Rivals. Peyton Manning walked out of Invesco Field at Mile High with a 27-17 win now both Denver and Kansas City are both tied with 9-1 records. However due to their Sunday Night victory, the Broncos are atop the division. Chiefs fans no need to panic, because in 2 weeks Denver comes to Arrowhead for meeting number 2 in a span of 3 weeks. Alex Smith the 1st year Chiefs quarterback along with Reid will need to collaborate opening the passing game up a little more. Especially against a team like the Broncos. That game in 2 weeks will be huge Denver can put a strangle hold on the division or the Chiefs can get revenge. One of these teams will finish with double digit wins this season and have to go on the road during the playoffs, where one of these teams could have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Denver will travel to New England next Sunday Night to take on the Patriots.

Giants & Eagles Will Decide NFC East

The 2013 NFL season through 11 weeks has been extremely unpredictable. Meanwhile back at the ranch, the NFC East has probably been the worst division in football. The New York Football Giants started the season 0-6, now they have defeated Minnesota, Philadelphia, Oakland and Green Bay. Philadelphia coming off a 4-12 season, a first year NFL coach in Chip Kelly, an open quarterback competition between Nick Foles & Michael Vick during training camp, from Vick to Foles to Vick to Barkley back to Foles now 1st place at 6-5 after winning 3 straight vs. Oakland, Green Bay and Washington. Philadelphia will have a Week 12 bye meanwhile the Giants will host the Cowboys. If New York wins that will be 5 straight victories which would tie Dallas with a 5-6 record. Dallas obviously has the talent to win the division, however they are injured right now especially with Dez Bryant and DeMarcus Ware. Washington doesn't seem to be on the same page especially with RGIII and the Shanahan's. Which leads me to believe the 2013-14 NFC East champion will come from New York or Philadelphia. Down the stretch they come during the last month and a half of the regular season.

Foles Ties NFL Record With 7 Touchdown Passes

Nick Foles couldn't lead the Eagles to an offensive touchdown a few weeks ago. He struggled big time in a home loss to Dallas. To make matters worse Foles left the game in the 4th quarter of the game with a concussion. Foles played horrible during the Cowboys game, yes his receivers dropped a few passes nevertheless more times than not he couldn't or wouldn't pull the trigger. Nick Foles the 2nd year quarterback out of the University of Arizona would miss the Giants game. Michael Vick tried to come back from his hamstring injury and aggravated it once again. Rookie quarterback Matt Barkley from USC was thrown into action once again as Philadelphia didn't score an offensive touchdown in another home loss. Leading up to the Raiders game out in Oakland, Foles was cleared to play. Watching the game Sunday each touchdown throw seemed surreal when Nick reached his final total of 7, all before the 4th quarter. Foles only had 6 in completions and over 400 yards throwing. Now Nick Foles has been named NFC Offensive Player Of The Week for the 2nd time this season. Now the debate presents itself again in Philadelphia, once Vick is healthy which quarterback will start for Chip Kelly ? Meanwhile all of Nick Foles gear from Sunday's game will be shipped off to Canton, OH and the Pro Football Hall Of Fame.

Ortiz & Victorino Clutch Hitting Help Red Sox Win World Series

David Ortiz all series long during the 2013 Fall Classic racked up several walks, when the St. Louis Cardinals actually pitched to the man known as Big Papi he laced extra base hit after extra base hit. Shane Victorino missed Games 4 & 5 in St. Louis due to injury. Yet as the Red Sox returned home for Game 6 with a 3-2 series lead and looking to clinch 1st World Series at home for the first time since 1918, Shane would be in the starting lineup. Victornio 5 years removed from being a World Champion with the Philadelphia Phillies delivered with 4 RBI's to help Boston win Game 6 and defeat St. Louis to win their 3rd title since 2004. Obviously the Red Sox wanted to help the healing of the city after the Marathon bombings earlier this season. All season long as Boston went from worse to first from 2012 to World Series champions in 2013 these players stayed BostonStrong. On Wednesday night Fenway Park turned into one big party. Nearly 100 years since the BoSox last clinched in their home park, was definitely a special moment. Along with his 3rd World Series title Big Papi collected the MVP trophy for his play in the series.

Jordan V Laney Back For The 1st Time Since 2000

On Saturday November 2, 2013 Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 5 Laney. This particular sneaker has not been released since April of 2000. I personally had 2 pairs of those Laney 5's back in 2000. At the age of 18 I had to have them, especially with the colorway dating back to Michael Jordan high school in North Carolina. Fast forward to 2013 more fans wanted a piece of these Laney 5's compared to the folks back in 2000. I like the Air Jordan 5s my favorite colorways are the Bred & Grape ! I didn't attempt to get a 2013 pair of Laney's for those who have, certainly enjoy the new edition to your collection. It will be interesting to see which NBA and NCAA players wear these particular Air Jordans on the court this season. Jordan Brand is set to retro the Air Jordan XII Taxi on November 16, 2013.

Andrew Luck Crashes Peyton Manning Indianapolis Home Coming

The Kansas City Chiefs are the last undefeated team during the current 2013 NFL season. The Kansas City Chiefs lead the AFC West with a 7-0 record. Andrew Luck was drafted with the #1 overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft. Peyton Manning was released prior to the 2012 season after being the #1 overall pick of the 1998 NFL Draft. Sunday night Lucas Oil Stadium, basically the house that Manning built would be the place where the Denver Broncos his new team would lose their 1st game. Denver tried to rally late but came up short 39-36. Mistakes on offense, defense and special teams hurt the Broncos and helped the Colts spring the upset victory. The fans of Indianapolis gave Peyton Manning the pre game appreciation that he truly deserved. Unfortunately, Peyton former teammate wide receiver Reggie Wayne will be lost for the season with a torn ACL. A win like this could really jump start the Colts season. Hey they went on the road and beat the 49ers and last night beat the Broncos which says plenty. Since both San Francisco and Denver were projected by many to meet in the Superbowl.

How Bout Them Cowboys !!! As They Take NFC East Lead

No Demarcus Ware. No Demarco Murray. No problem. Sunday the Dallas Cowboys beat the Philadelphia Eagles 17-3 at Lincoln Financial Field. The win helped Dallas improve to (4-3) while dropping Philadelphia to (3-4). Defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin defense went on to contain Eagles running back Lesean McCoy the NFL leading rusher and Desean Jackson won of the NFL leading receivers. While knocking out Nick Foles the NFC Offensive Player Of The Week / Fed Ex Air Award Winner, with a concussion. Foles starting his 2nd game in a row for the injured Michael Vick at quarterback was off all day. Dallas will look to add to their NFC East lead on Sunday at Detroit. Meanwhile Philadelphia will host the New York Football Giants. Tony Romo was able to complete enough 3rd down throws to keep drives alive as the Cowboys controlled the clock with solid time of possession.

Consistent Cardinals Heading To Another World Series

The St. Louis Cardinals continue to show why they are a consistent franchise decade after decade. With or without Albert Pujols the Cardinals are moving on to another Fall Classic. The running red birds, have the 2nd most World Series titles in MLB history behind obviously the Yankees. Nevertheless the Cardinals own the most World Series titles in the National League. They will look to revenge their 2004 World Series loss vs. Boston in the 2013 Fall Classic. St. Louis just knocked out Texas in the 2011 World Series. Simply an epic series as the Cardinals came back late in Game 6 and Game 7 respectively with late inning heroics to capture the ultimate prize. Rookie pitcher Michael Wacha has pitched lights out down the 2013 postseason. The kid was named the 2013 NLCS MVP. The Cardinals just fine a way to win regardless of who the hero may be. Wednesday Game 1 takes pace in Boston, let the games begin !

Life Is Grand In Boston Thanks To Victorino & Ortiz

The Boston Red Sox are heading to the 2013 World Series. Boston has gone from worst in 2012 to first in 2013 in the AL East. Boston won the division, then they beat Tampa Bay in the Division Series. Now the Red Sox go on to defeat the Tigers 4-2 to win the AL Pennant. Boston was shut out at home in Game 1 of the ALCS during Game 2 it looked bleak at Fenway Park. Their was a possibility of Boston heading back to Detroit down 0-2. Then David Ortiz blasted a game tying Grand Slam in the 7th inning and the Red Sox would win it in the 9th on a walk off hit. Those late inning heroics tied the series 1-1 but more importantly seized momentum for Beantown. Saturday evening, Detroit trying to force a Game 7 down 1-0 took a 2-1 lead in the 6th inning. Ex Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino once hit a NLDS grand slam off C.C Sabathia during Philadelphia's run to the 2008 World Series title. Last evening he blasted an 8th inning Grand Slam vs. Detroit to help Boston win the game 5-2. Shane will be aiming for his 2nd World Series ring in his 3rd World Series appearance.

Hey Chip Kelly Vick or Foles In Our Andy Reid Voice Times Yours

Chip Kelly said when he was hired in January from the University of Oregon their would be an open competition at quarterback. During OTA's, Training Camp and Pre Season the 2nd year kid out of Arizona would battle it out with the veteran from Virginia Tech. After 2 games in August Kelly named Michael Vick the starting quarterback in Philadelphia as they prepared for the season opener vs. Washington. Eagles offense looked great in the 1st half of the opening game in DC led by Vick. They looked pretty good in a 3 point home loss to San Diego. However when Kansas City came to town that flat out struggled and couldn't get it in gear during the massacre defeat in Denver. The passing game in New York struggled early on vs. the Giants however Vick took off a ran and kept the Philadelphia offense afloat. Then on a run that picked up a 1st down Vick grabbed his hamstring, tried to gut it out but simply couldn't. The Philadelphia offense was struggling in the red zone through 4 1/2 games. Foles took over in that Giants game and threw 2 touchdowns helping the Eagles defeat the Giants. Vick was ruled out at Tampa and Foles threw for 3 touchdowns and ran for another. Philadelphia won and has gone from 1-3 to 3-3 tied for 1st place in the division. Next Sunday Dallas comes to town, with out right claims to 1st place at stake. Chip Kelly has a decision to make, whether Mike Vick is healthy or not. Foles has yet to turn the football over in the last game and a half and was able to produce in the red zone. Let's see how this plays out. Several fans in Philadelphia has been asking for Nick Foles prior to the hamstring injury Vick suffered.

Air Jordan X Steel Release Coming Soon

The year was 1994-95 and for the 1st part of that particular NBA campaign Michael Jordan was retired from the game of basketball. Jordan instead was playing baseball. Many NBA players wore various colorways of the Air Jordan X that season. By the time Michael Jordan came back in March of 1995 he was wearing the Chicago colorway of the 10's. I can't recall his Airness actually wearing the Steel X's during an actual game that season. Nevertheless this colorway was last released in 2005. I actually had a pair. I gave them away after having them for about 6 years and still in solid condition. One of my high school basketball players would always asked me could he have them during practice. Yeah we're talking about practice ! So during the 2011-12 season I gave them to him. Shortly after I purchased the Chicago X's. That's the main reason why next week I won't be adding the Steel colorway to my collection. However I'm sure on Saturday October 12th many people will. It's a tremendous sneaker, that you can dress up or down because of the particular colorway.

Seahawks Simply Find Ways To Get The Job Done

It isn't always pretty for the Seattle Seahawks, nevertheless over the past 2 seasons the mighty birds from the Pacific Northwest find ways to win. The numbers especially on offense mainly in the passing game don't always catch your attention, however 2nd year QB Russell Wilson knows how to lead his team to victory. Seattle will enter Week 5 (4-0) as the head to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. The Seahawks have knocked off Carolina, San Francisco, Jacksonville and Houston in a thrilling come from behind overtime victory last week on the road. Seattle has a great defense and the secondary is spectacular, highlighted by Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor and Brandon Browner. On offense Pete Carroll squad grinds it out running the football with rugged veteran Marshawn Lynch. Last season Seattle lost to Atlanta in the Division Playoffs, this year their looking to advance further by earning a trip to New York City for the Superbowl in February

Defensive Has Led Chiefs To 4-0 Start

Safety Eric Berry, Linebacker Derrick Johnson and Defensive Lineman Justin Houston & Tamba Hali has helped Kansas City double up their 2012 win total already. Andy Reid came in to coach the Chiefs after 14 seasons in Philadelphia. Kansas City will head into Tennessee during their Week 5 match up 4-0. Beating Jacksonville, Dallas, Philadelphia and the New York Football Giants along the way. The formula is simple yet affective. QB Alex Smith came over from San Francisco and he makes smart decisions with the football. Jamal Charles leads the team in rushing and receptions. Dexter McCluster is a threat in the return game and basically ended the Giants game with a 4th quarter punt return of a touchdown. Clearly the Denver Broncos (no surprise) and Kansas City Chiefs are the class of the AFC West. Kansas City is playing lights out defense, through 4 weeks 2nd in the NFL in defensive points per game (10.2 and 1st in the league in giveaway/takeaway margin (+9). It'll be interesting to see how far Kansas City can go this season. Outside of major injuries who knows...this formula shows it can work and that they'll always be in games.

Eagles vs. Chiefs Reid Returns To Philadelphia McNabb Having Uniform Retired

Week 3 Thursday Night Football in Philadelphia is more than just a game. The Eagles (1-1) host the Chiefs (2-0). During the off season Philadelphia hired University of Oregon head coach Chip Kelly to replace Andy Reid. Reid was unemployed less than a month before he was hired to take over the 2-14 Kansas City Chiefs. While Reid was in Philadelphia for 14 seasons, Donovan McNabb was there for 11 seasons. McNabb on Easter Sunday was traded to Washington in 2010, he played one season in DC and another in Minnesota. Now McNabb covers football. Reid & McNabb, McNabb & Reid the two will be forever linked for better or for worse. Andy Reid took McNabb with the 2nd pick of the 1999 NFL Draft. Rookie coach, rookie quarterback would eventually go on to turn a 5-11 team into Superbowl contenders. Unfortunately the team was so close, just couldn't close the deal in terms of a World Championship. Several NFC East titles, a plethora of playoff wins, 5 NFC Championship Game appearances and 1 Superbowl appearance. During halftime of Eagles vs. Chiefs McNabb will have in number retired. Reid on the other hand will be in the visiting locker room at Lincoln Financial Field for the 1st time. However several of his ex Eagles players who reside in the area will be in attendance. Andy Reid also took several of the staff he worked with in Philadelphia to join his in Kansas City, even signed a few of his free agent Eagles players. It's like the Philadelphia Eagles of the Midwest in some ways.

Alabama Comes Back To Defeat Texas A&M On The Road

Saturday, in College Station,TX the '12th Man' aka the Aggies fans, had something to cheer about early on ! Could it be back to back seasons where Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel knock off mighty Alabama and AJ McCarron ? Down 14-0, the defending National Champion Crimson Tide stormed back to take a 35-14 lead. Eventually McCarron would lead his team to a tremendous road victory by the score of 49-42. The difference in the football game of course where turnovers, Manziel turned the ball over more than McCarron including a pick 6, while AJ was void of any turnover. Their is still plenty of college football left to be played so we will see where each team will end up come bowl season. Nevertheless Alabama appears to be poised for a 3 peat. Teams such as Oregon and Louisville among others will try to wrestle the National Championship away from Bama', good luck.

NCAA 'Suspends' Johnny Football During 1st Half vs. Rice

I've always stated the NCAA are hypocrites. It's ok for the NCAA to profit off players. Yet if or when players profit off themselves it's a slap on the wrist or worse. Saturday during Week 1 of the 2013-14 NCAA Division 1 college football season, down in College Station came the slap on the wrist and hypocrisy. After winning the Heisman last season as a red shirt freshman Johnny Manziel as had one hell of an off season. From speeding, to leaving the Manning Academy early, to making cash off of signing autographs etc. The autograph signings in Miami during BCS Championship Game week is what got Johnny Football in hot water the most. Not speeding or any of his other off season mistakes. Texas A&M blew out Rice, Manziel came in during the 2nd half off the bench, threw a pair of touchdowns in only 6 attempts while getting a pair of taunting penalties. He made money gestures to celebrate those touchdowns. Right now for NCAA football this kid literally is the cash cow. Unfortunately it's labeled wrong if he makes some, since he's a student athlete. The kid isn't wrong for that, nevertheless he has to get his act together with making better decisions off the football field in terms of his behavior. I'm sure the powers that be would love to see the Texas A&M vs. Alabama winner take on Ohio State next January in the BCS Championship Game.

Nike Air Zoom Generation...Possibly Lebron's Best Sneaker Thus Far

During Lebron James rookie season of 2003-04, his original pair of signature sneakers were plain and simple. Personally maybe that's why I like them the best. Especially the red and white colorways, black and white colorways and black and red colorways. Lebron James lived up to the hype coming straight out of high school to average 20/5/5 for the Cleveland Cavaliers. James laced up the Nike Air Zoom Generation and even this summer rocked them as well. October 12th Nike will debut his 11th sneaker. Growing up in Philadelphia as a Big 5 college basketball fan I've always checked out the kicks players were rocking. Back in 2003-04 NCAA Men's Basketball Player Of The Year was St. Joe's Jameer Nelson ! During the Hawks Elite 8 NCAA Tournament run Jameer laced up a pair of the AZG's. I found them on sale later that year and recently found the AZG's on eBay. Meanwhile Lebron was rocking the AZG's taking home NBA Rookie Of The Year honors. Only time will tell not if but when Nike will officially retro those AZG's.

Nike Lebron XI Parachute Gold Colorway Will Be Insane !

Lebron James is set to enter his 11th NBA campaign this upcoming 2013-14 season. Miami are the two
time defending NBA champions. The Heat will look to three peat next June. If they are able to pull of that feat they'll be the first franchise to do so since the LA Lakers from 1999-00 / 2000-01 / 2001-02. Lebron James is also the reigning NBA MVP and 2 time NBA Finals MVP. The 1st edition of his 11th sneaker will hit retailers on October 12th for $200. The Lebron XI Parachute Gold is personally my favorite colorway for his upcoming sneaker. I own a pair of his 1st signature sneakers Nike Air Zoom Generation, which is my 2nd pair I've had from his debut kicks. James 11th sneaker will offer new foamposite material which is called armorposite. Nike is calling this his lightest shoe ever. James even asked his Instagram followers this summer should he begin to retro his earlier signature sneakers. Lebron asked the question why sporting a pair of AZG's. I think with little over a month remaining before the Parachute Gold release the excitement of this colorway will begin to grow.

2013 Has Seen Andy Reid & Charlie Manuel Exit Philadelphia

January 2013 the Philadelphia Eagles announced after a 4-12 season, Andy Reid would no longer be the coach of the team after 14 seasons. August 2013 the Philadelphia Phillies announced Charlie Manuel would no longer be the manger of the team after 9 seasons. Now in Philadelphia the longest tenured coach in the 4 major sports is Peter Laviolette of the Philadelphia Flyers, Reid replacement Chip Kelly is coming in from college coaching. Doug Collins resigned from the 76ers and after a lengthy search Philadelphia hired Spurs assistant Brett Brown to be their head coach and finally Hall Of Fame 2B Ryne Sanberg went from 3rd base coach to Phillies interim manager. So it's basically a fresh coaching scene in Philadelphia now that the longevity of Reid and Manuel are gone. Manuel should probably have been allowed to finish out the season, like the Eagles allowed Reid to do. If your from Philadelphia you realize the list of various accomplishments Reid and Manuel brought to the Eagles and Phillies respectively during their time in the city. Manuel trumped Reid by winning a World Series in 2008. Reid was hired by the Kansas City Chiefs and will be in town September 19th as the Eagles host his new team. Manuel nearly 70 years old, what will be the next step for this baseball lifer ? Only time will tell.

2013-14 AFC Division Winners

I always like to start my predictions off by stating barring major injuries. Because we all know injuries especially those at key positions could ruin a promising season for any NFL team. Now that we have got that out the way here are my 2013-14 AFC Division winners : Tom Brady will lead the New England Patriots to another AFC East title, he's won so many we've lost count ! New England could possibly run away with the AFC East easily over Miami, New York and Buffalo. Their strongest division competition could come from South Beach. AFC North the Bengals led by QB Andy Dalton and WR A.J Green are in their 3rd NFL season and will surpass veteran teams like Baltimore and Pittsburgh to win their division. Cincinnati made the postseason the last 2 seasons, however they are looking to win the franchise 1st playoff game since 1990. AFC South will once again belong to the Houston Texans they'll edge out the Indianapolis Colts for division supremacy. Smash mouth football on offense and pressure on defense is the formula for success in Houston. Finally Peyton Manning will win back to back AFC West titles in Denver on paper it looks like Denver could win the division without much resistance. Possibly San Diego maybe Kansas City could present the biggest division hurtles.

2013-14 NFC Division Winners

Barring major injuries these are the NFC division winners I've selected for the upcoming 2013-14 NFL season. In the NFC East I'm going with the New York Football Giants to edge out Dallas, Washington and Philadelphia. Pro Bowl WR is happier than ever after receiving at new contract and he also has 2 time Superbowl MVP Eli Manning throwing him the football. New York will need to find either a running back or running back by committee to replace Ahmad Bradshaw. Last season New York started 6-2 but missed the playoffs. Green Bay led by Superbowl MVP Aaron Rodgers are my pick to lock up the NFC North, their defense may not be as strong as 2010-11 when the Packers defeated the Steelers to hoist their 4th Superbowl in franchise history. Nevertheless with Rodgers Green Bay will always be in games from an offensive standpoint. I think they'll get by Chicago to win the division. NFC South I'm going with the Atlanta Falcons who were defeated at home by the 49ers in last seasons NFC Championship Game. Lately it's been rare to see NFC South teams win the division back to back seasons. This could be the year the Falcons led by Matt Ryan go against that trend. Atlanta will beat out New Orleans to win the NFC South. Finally out West the NFC Champion 49ers will edge out Seattle and St. Louis to capture the NFC West. Let's see how quarterback Colin Kaepernick responds to being the full time starter for the 1st time in his career. Also let's see now that the league has footage on him will he be as dynamic as he was a season ago.

USA Basketball Giving Young Players An Opportunity To Showcase Their Talents

No rest for the weary. Coach K and his USA Basketball Senior Men's staff are in Las Vegas taking a look a young talent. Their are workouts taking place along with scrimmages and showcase games. Just to be invited for an event like this can only help these young guys when they return to their respective NBA teams in the fall. Currently this summer they are attempting to catch the coaches eyes for possible spots when the 2016 Summer Olympics appear. 2011-12 Rookie of the year Kyrie Irving is apart of the festivities along with All Stars Jrue Holiday and Paul George. Also in town are DeMarcus Cousins, Ryan Anderson, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard the 2012-13 ROY, playoff veteran Mike Conley Jr., young guys Andre Drummond, Kenneth Faried, De Andre Jordan and the list goes on and on. Team USA are always looking toward the future, they are always looking at guys who can shoot the basketball from distance, guys who can rebound the basketball, guys who can defend on the post or perimeter, even players who can run a basketball team. Clearly these guys in Las Vegas could play a large role going forward in USA Basketball

Braves Currently Hold MLB's Largest Division Lead

Atlanta, even with their recent up and down win/loss stretch still find their way to this interesting numbers. The Braves are coming off a postseason appearance last season as a NL Wildcard team. This season as of July 26th, Atlanta owns Major League Baseball largest division lead. Atlanta lead 2nd place Washington by 8 1/2 games in the National League East. All other division races throughout baseball are relatively close to this point in the season. Baseball 2nd largest division lead comes out of the American League West as the Oakland A's lead the Texas Rangers by 3 1/2 games. July 31st marks the 2013 MLB trade deadline. Let's see which teams around the league buy and which teams sell. As teams look to enter the postseason by flat out taking their respective division or collect 1 of the 2 Wildcards in each league. Let the stretch run in August begin for a spot in October.

Danny Garcia vs. Lucas Matthysse Added To Mayweather Jr vs. Alvarez Undercard

September 14th, Canelo Alvarez will attempt to become the first fighter to defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr.
The action will take place in Las Vegas, NV at the MGM Grand. Money Mayweather is currently 2 fights into a 6 fight deal with Showtime. Recently an interesting match up has been added to the under card : undefeated Danny Garcia will be opposed by hard hitting Lucas Matthysse. Honestly, as a fight fan I'm personally looking for that fight more than the main event. It'll be interesting to see Garcia and his hand speed vs. Matthysse and his unlimited punching power. Smart move by Showtime and the likes of Golden Boy Production for adding that fight to the card. Boxing rumors suggest the winner of Garcia vs. Matthysse will take on the Mayweather Jr. vs. Alvarez next !

Brooklyn Nets Make Several Off Season Moves

Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov, has made several off season splashes and it's only July ! Jason Kidd led the Nets to consecutive NBA Finals appearances in 2002 & 2003 respectively. Kidd recently retired after playing for the Knicks. Now J. Kidd will coach the Nets next season as the head man in charge. Good move by Kidd to bring in Lawrence Frank as an assistant coach, unlike Kidd he has NBA head coaching experience. The Nets are also looking to bring in AK47 which is Andrei Kirilenko. Nevertheless the move that sent shock waves through the NBA Atlantic Division : Brooklyn packed Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Reggie Evans, Keith Bogans and draft picks to Boston for Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry. Of course KG & PP helped lead Boston to the 2008 championship and in 2010 they made another NBA Finals appearance. Meanwhile Jason Terry appeared in the 2006 NBA Finals before helping Dallas get over the hump as world champions in 2011. The Nets still have the likes of Williams, Johnson and Lopez on the squad. The question is with these moves are the Nets good enough to beat Miami 4 times in a series ?

Let's Count The Ways San Antonio Let A Championship Slip Through Their Hands

Heading into Game 6 the Spurs led the Heat 3-2 needing only 1 win to close out the series and win their 5th title in franchise history. Tim Duncan poured in 23 first half points. San Antonio led by double digits in the 3rd and 4th quarters respectively. Obviously the Heat would make a run and in the final period they did, even took the lead. Then the Spurs came back to hold a 5 point lead with less than 30 seconds left. Leonard missed a free throw and Ginobili missed a free throw, 2 free throws 2 points that would have iced the game and series for San Antonio. Those pair of misses opened the door for Miami even with the NBA ready to set up for a post game championship celebration. Tim Duncan was out of the game on two defensive possessions that led to offensive rebound & kick out three's by Lebron James and Ray Allen. Those buckets from downtown tied the game and the Heat won in overtime. Miami forced a Game 7 and took advantage of the Spurs letting them back in the series, ultimately winning back to back titles. Even if Game 7 Coach Pop left Tony Parker out late and let Ginobili pushed the ball which led to a series ending turnover. Some questionable late game decisions in back to back contest. The title was right their for the taking in Game 6 and missed free throws let the flood gates open. The Spurs have to be sick.

Michael Jordan & Lebron James Share Something Else In Common Following 2013 NBA Finals

Lebron James and Michael Jordan share a few things. We know both coming into the NBA in 1984 and 2003 respectively they signed Nike contracts. We know both wore the number 23 coming into the NBA and at some point in their career made a number switch, Lebron currently wears number 6, while Jordan briefly wore 45. After the Spurs fumbled away the Larry O'Brien trophy in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals, Miami was given a 2nd life. During Game 7 Lebron James took full advantage as the Heat won the series 4-3. James now shares with Jordan : winning regular season MVP (James 2011-12 / Jordan 1991-92), Finals MVP (James 2012 / Jordan 1992), winning a gold medal in the Summer Olympics (James 2012 / Jordan 1992) then coming back the following season to win regular season MVP (James 2012-13 / Jordan 1992-93), Finals MVP (James 2013 / Jordan 1993). Hopefully Lebron doesn't follow in Michael Jordan footsteps and retire before next season and take a year and a half off from the NBA.

Air Jordan VIII Playoffs 2013 Edition Set To Release In Late June

The year was 1993 Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls won their 3rd straight NBA title. The 1st of 2 3 peats Jordan and Pippen would lead the Bulls to. The Bulls knocked off the Suns during the 1993 NBA Finals 4-2. Look down on Michael Jordan feet and you'll see the Air Jordan VIII black and red also known as the Playoff 8's. Later this month they will be return. How ironic because it has been 20 years since that Chicago vs. Phoenix NBA Finals. Earlier this year Jordan Brand released the Bugs Bunny version of the Air Jordan VIII's, which is the white colorway. Back in 2003 I had the chrome version of the Air Jordan VIII's basically those where the black and grey colorway. How many of you will make an attempt to add the Playoff 8's to your collection ?

AL East Looking Like MLB's Best Division In 2013 So Far

Through the month of June, 4 of 5 teams in the American League Eastern Division are over .500, 30-36 Toronto Blue Jays who are in last place are the only team without a winning record. At the time of this article Boston leads the AL East with a 41-28 record followed by Baltimore 39-29, New York 37-30 and Tampa 35-32. Coming into the season Toronto made several off season moves, they were expected to contend. However injuries have literally hurt them. Meanwhile the Yankees have been able to keep their head above water despite many injuries. Meanwhile many didn't expect Boston to be the leaders of the pack prior to the start of the season. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out for this division. Tampa and Baltimore has their eyes on the prize as well. Baltimore is trying to make it two straight playoff appearances.

Lebron James Eyeing Back To Back Titles

Lebron James, is the player many media members describe as the best player on the planet or best player in the world, has led Miami to their 3rd straight NBA Finals appearance. James was just named NBA MVP for the 4th time in his career. Coming off his 1st NBA Championship last season as Miami defeated Oklahoma City in 5 games. Now with the 2013 NBA Finals tied 2-2 entering Game 5 Sunday vs. San Antonio, James is 2 wins away from back to back titles. Over the past 20-25 years players such as Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Olajuwon, Zeke has gone back to back. James would etched is name in that category with those players and those before them with 2 more victories. During Game 4 he had his best scoring game of these NBA Finals scoring over 30 points for the 1st time in the series. The 'King' has a chance to win back to back crowns.

Tim Duncan Aims For 5th NBA Title Which Would Tie Him With Kobe For 1st Among Active Players

Tim Duncan has led the San Antonio Spurs to the NBA Finals in 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2007. 4 NBA Finals appearances = 4 wins vs. New York, New Jersey, Detroit and Cleveland. Tim Duncan was named NBA Finals MVP 3 times. This year Duncan and San Antonio return the to the Finals for the 1st time in 6 years. Miami is the opponent led by Lebron James who the Spurs faced in 2007 while sweeping the Cavaliers. Duncan is aiming to tie Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher with 5 titles, the most among active NBA players. It won't be an easy task as the Spurs and Heat are locked in a 2-2 series battle. Game 5 is up next in San Antonio on Sunday night. Duncan and Bryant along with Fisher has had great battles in the Western Conference playoffs and usually the winner of that series, go on to win the Larry O'Brien trophy as NBA Champions.

Heat vs. Spurs Locked In 2-2 Series NBA Finals Tie Huge Game 5 Next

Back and fourth they go, the Spurs and Heat exchanged wins through the 1st four games of the 2013 NBA Finals. San Antonio has won Games 1 and 3 while Miami has won Games 2 and 4. In the current 2-3-2 Finals format the winner of Game 5 during a 2-2 series is huge. Both teams has produced blowout wins and the Heat down 2-1 entering Game 4 got a pair of 30+ point performances from Lebron and Wade. As the Miami Big 3 along with Bosh scored over 80 points, Miami won by double digits. That win assures at least one more home game in Miami for Game 6, regardless of Game 5 results. How healthy will Tony Parker be in Game 5 as he is nursing a hamstring injury. Parker suffered that injury in Game 3, played well in Game 4 during the 1st half, however didn't score in the 2nd half. The 3 point shot through 4 games has been huge for the Spurs led by Green and Neal. Miami made the Spurs adjust in Game 4 simply by adding Mike Miller into the starting lineup. That move opened up the floor for James and DWade to drive get out in transition and to the free throw line. San Antonio must limit their turnovers, Miami thrives off turnovers in the open floor. I really think Game 5 is more of a must win for the Spurs, if San Antonio loses it will be difficult to win Games 6 and 7 in Miami. They'll be plenty of drama come Sunday night in Texas during Game 5. Can Manu Ginobili respond, he's struggled all series long. Wade and James responded in Game 4. Spurs time's yours.

Duncan Parker Ginobili 1 Win Away From Another NBA Finals Trip

2013 Western Conference Finals has the Spurs up 3-0 vs. Memphis. However outside of Game 1 the Grizzlies have had 2 chances to win games in overtime, which they have lost. Game 3 in Memphis the Grizzlies blew an eighteen point lead and fell to San Antonio. Memphis is playing in their 1st Western Conference Finals in franchise history. Meanwhile Tim Duncan is aiming for his 5th title which would tie him with Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher for the most championships among active NBA players. Everyone knows the history of 3-0 series deficits in the NBA = no team has ever rallied to win the series. Memorial Day Monday, the Memphis will try to win and keep the series going. Meanwhile Duncan Parker and Ginobili have not been to the NBA Finals since 2007 when they swept Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. They could met Lebron again if they can win another game and Miami can win two more games.

Lebron Post Up Heat Pound The Paint Take 2-1 ECF Lead Over Pacers

Lebron James scored 18 of his 22 points in the first half on Sunday. All 5 Miami starters scored in double figures : Wade scored 18 points, Chalmers 14 points, Bosh 15 points including 2 three point field goals and Haslem scored 17 points including many corner jump shots. Birdman went 4 for 4 off the Miami bench for 9 points and has not missed a shot this series. Indiana led by George, Hibbert, Hill and West outplayed Miami in the 1st two games of the series, yet could only come up with a 1-1 split heading home. Miami led by James completely dominated the game. The Heat scored 34 1st quarter points vs. the Pacers defense and a total of 70 1st half points. Miami cruised to a 114-96 victory. Game 4 in Indiana will take place on Thursday as the Heat look to go up 3-1 before heading back to Miami for Game 5. Paul George played excellent in Miami during the 1st two games of the Eastern Conference Finals, yet struggled in those one on one post situations Sunday vs. James. George only took 10 shots on offense. For James and the Heat it's probably their best team effort since Game 5 of the 2012 NBA Finals when they closed out OKC to win the title. It's difficult to beat Miami 4 times in a series to begin with, it's difficult to deal with the Big 3. Indiana or any opponent are really in trouble when role players are hitting open shots. Let's see what adjustments Indiana will make heading into the next game, because if they don't win the series could end in 5 games.

No Westbrook Major Problem Grizzlies Advance To 1st Ever West Finals

Western Conference #1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder were able to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals defeating Houston 4-2 after losing Russell Westbrook to a knee injury early in the series & for the remainder of the playoffs. Kevin Durant did what he could do the remainder of the playoffs, but clearly R.West was clearly missed. He is the spoon the stirs the drink, despite the fact critics say he shoots too much. Losing the UCLA point guard puts more pressure on the rest of the team including KD to create their own shots. James Harden was traded to Houston over the summer. We all wonder if OKC could have advanced to their 3rd straight West Finals if Harden was still on the team even with Westbrook ailing. We'll never know. What we do know is the team formerly known as the Vancouver Grizzles will take on San Antonio or Golden State while playing in their initial conference finals. They are a solid team, who traded Rudy Gay away during the season. They flat out get it done on defense and like to feed Gasol and Randolph in the post. Their opponent better expect a physical grind it out type series versus the Grizzlies.

How Fresh The AJ Grape V's Are Back

The year was 1990, Will Smith made his sitcom debut on NBC with the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. Will would rock the Air Jordan V in various colorways. The Air Jordan V Grape edition stood out for sure. This particular colorway had Charlotte Hornet colors. During the 1990-91 season his Airness actually rocked the Grapes a few times. They were always a fan favorite. Jordan even wore them on the cover of a Wheaties box. Since then the Grape V's may have been re released once maybe twice. However in early May 2013 the retro Air Jordan V Grape edition make a comeback. I was never a Charlotte Hornets fan, yet I enjoy watching the likes to Zo, LJ and Mugsy hoop down south. Those jerseys were solid for sure, better than solid absolutely dope. Which for me made the 2013 release a must have ! Jordan Brand maybe releasing the Air Jordan V Laney edition, which are MJ's high school colors. I had a pair I believe two pairs during the original 2000 Laney release.

Nike Force Max 2013 Returns

The year was 1993, Charles Barkley led the Phoenix Suns to the best record in the NBA during the 1992-93 season. While winning the 1993 NBA MVP award Sir Charles rocked the Nike Force Max. When at home at America West Arena, Chuck would wear the white/blue/black colorway. When the Suns played on the road Barkley would lace up the black/grey/white colorway. Phoenix would defeat Seattle in 7 games to win the Western Conference Finals, before losing to the Chicago Bulls and you know who in 6 games. Meanwhile on the college scene the Fab Five were in year two as sophomores, Chris, Juwan, Jalen, Jimmy and Ray would rock the black/grey/white colorway edition of the Nike Force Max. The Wolverines would wear their usual baggy shorts, black socks and bald heads. Michigan would advance to their second straight Final Four and National Championship Game respectively. However another ACC opponent would defeat the Fab Five to cut down the nets as the UNC Tarheels did just that. During the 2000-01 season Nike would release the black/grey/white & white/blue/black respective colorways, I even had a white pair. They were pretty cool. I could let the black/grey/white colorway pass me by when they were released as the Nike Force Max 2013. When I picked the sneaker up in the store, my mind raced back to 6th grade and the likes of CB34 & the Fab Five making the sneaker famous. Nike will be releasing more colorways on the 2013 edition. Stayed tuned !

When It Comes To MVP Voting Expect Lebron 1st Carmelo 2nd Maybe They'll Face Off In East Finals

Carmelo Anthony came on at the end, to help the New York Knicks secure the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference Playoff picture. However expect Lebron James to win his 4th MVP when the final votes are tallied up and Anthony will probably finish 2nd in voting. James helped lead Miami to 27 straight wins this season, which was 3rd most in NBA history in terms of consecutive games won. Melo during the Knicks late season run helped New York win 13 in a row. Miami and New York will take on Boston and Milwaukee respectively to open up postseason play. They could be on a collision course in the Eastern Conference Finals if both teams take care of their business in the 1st two rounds of the playoffs. Lebron James versatility vs. Carmelo Anthony scoring, would be something special to witness, with a spot in the NBA Finals on the line as Miami looks to repeat while appearing in the Championship Round for the 3rd straight June. Nevertheless both teams opponents will have something to say about that, they would love to derail the match up made for must see TV.

Despite Kobe Bryant Torn ACL Lakers Find A Way To Make The Playoffs

Kobe Bryant said during the 2nd half of the season, that the Los Angeles Lakers would make the NBA Playoffs. Unfortunately, for Bryant the 17 year NBA veteran he wasn't their to see it. Friday April 12th vs. Golden State at Staples Center KB24 tore his ACL with about 4 minutes left to go in the game. LA was trying to make a final push for the playoffs and a final run to rally and beat the Warriors. Bryant had surgery the next day and the initial outlook as far as a return is 6-9 months. The Lakers will face the Spurs in round one, obviously San Antonio will be the favorite in this 2-7 series. Nevertheless the Lakers were able to take care of business the final few games to get into postseason. This season it was more drama in Hollywood than usual, firing of a coach, new hiring of a coach, lack of chemistry. Even before the Kobe injury, Nash / Gasol / Howard / Metta Peace were all hurt at some point during the season. Prior to the season I really thought the fans would finally get a Kobe vs. Lebron NBA Finals with the Lakers and Heat representing their respective conferences. Obviously not, even if Kobe didn't get hurt, it would have been difficult for the Lakers to get out of the West. The Clippers this season was the best team in Los Angeles, really the last two seasons. Kobe's recovery will be interesting to see as well as the Lakers off season moves, when the time comes.

Boston Marathon Felt Like Boston Massacre Boston Sports Teams Help Boston Heal

Monday April 15th, Tax Day in America, was also known as Patriots Day in New England. On Patriots Day every year the Red Sox host an eleven A.M game at Fenway Park. During the same day the Boston Marathon takes place. On this day of 4/15/13 it will be a day never forgotten in Boston, New England or the United States of America. The Boston Marathon would go on as normal, then a few hours after completion all hell broke lose. An explosion took place near the finish line. People who ran the race and spectators made a mad dash, several people were injured as a result of the explosion. Some of those injuries caused amputations of limbs. 4 people including an eight year old boy passed away (at the time of this post) and several others are in critical condition. The Red Sox would have to travel to Cleveland to play an away game and showed their support to all those affected back in Massachusetts. Celtics cancelled their game, yet showed support as well. Postponed game was in store for the Bruins as well. A week long search went on, finally video footage revealed who set the explosions off. A pair of young men, who are originally from Russia before coming to the States. One was even a boxer. The older brother was gunned down by authorities, while on Friday the remaining brother was finally captured. Nearly a week has gone by and their was high emotion when the Bruins and Red Sox finally took the ice and diamond respectively. Sports seems to always help with the healing process, helping people for 2-3 hours take their mind of the realities they are dealing with.

Louisville Wins National Title Kentucky The Favorite Going Into Next Season

Rick Pitino coached Louisville to the 2012-13 NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four. More importantly the Cardinals won the National Championship. While in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome for a pair of games Saturday and Monday Night respectively. Louisville came back from double digit deficits. Saturday vs. Wichita State in the National Semifinals, then Monday vs. Michigan in the National Championship Game. Meanwhile John Calipari saw his Kentucky Wildcats not make the NCAA Tournament and lose in the 1st round of the NIT Tournament to Robert Morris. It was an up and down season for the defending National Champions. Losing Noel their freshman front court player to a torn ACL now to the NBA. Noel declared for the NBA Draft and could be the top overall selection. The young Wildcats struggled with inconsistency and a lack of chemistry all season long. Coach Cal is back at it, he'll have the number one rated recruiting class for the 2013-14 season. College Basketball experts already have UK as the odds on favorites to cut down the nets at Cowboys Stadium next April. In the Bluegrass State / Commonwealth college basketball royalty is where the rich continue to get rich. Coach Pitino has also be voted in to join the Class of 2013 to be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
