(Stay) Nike Or (Go) Under Armour Is The Choice For Kevin Durant

The NBA reigning MVP and scoring champion, is looking to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to that elusive NBA Championship. Durant has already won an Olympic gold medal now he wants to win the Larry O'Brien trophy. He's a NBA free agent in 2 years, however he's a sneaker free agent this year. When Durant left the University of Texas back in 2007 he was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics who are the OKC Thunder. Durant took less money from Nike instead of signing with Adidas. Fast forward 7 years later I don't know if Nike is banking on Durant doing the same thing. The numbers that's floating out their is $265 million being offered by Under Armour. UA founder is from the DMV area like Kevin and if he could land KD, you would think UA would go to another level as a company. Shortly after the 2014 NBA Finals ended Durant latest signature shoe came out. Then KD became a free man in the sneaker world. A decision should be made shortly on which way he decides whether that's to stay or to go.

What Does Paul George Mean For The Indiana Pacers ?

By now many people either saw or read about Paul George tragic lower leg injury during a Team USA scrimmage. This past season NBA All Star Paul George helped lead the Indiana Pacers to the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. Indiana would eventually lose for the 3rd straight season and 2nd straight Eastern Conference Finals series to the Miami Heat. Lance Stephenson left to join the Charlotte Hornets early on in free agency. Paul George hoped to represent his country during the World Cup of Basketball this summer and it all came to an end on that Friday night in Las Vegas. George was being George going for a chase down block on the break, however his leg landed on the backboard stanchion. The result was gruesome. Team USA obviously has replacements, more importantly where do the Indiana Pacers go from here ? Will George miss the entire 2014-15 NBA season or will he play at some point next year ? Only time will tell. However Indiana will miss his talent on offense and defense regardless of how long he will be out. Without George could Indiana go from the top of the Eastern Conference to near the bottom ?

Smith and his coaching staff through the first 3 episodes are stressing toughness on offense, defense and special teams. Nevertheless the coaching staff also wants discipline. Julio Jones the big time wideout from the University of Alabama is making his return after suffering a season ending injury in 2013. Meanwhile in Episode 2 pass blocking tackle Sam Baker was loss for the season after an ACL injury. Now the team will have to feel the void protecting quarterback Matt Ryan blind side.
