1996-97 Bibby / Simon / Arizona / Kicks / Championship

4 seed in the Southeast regional, no one expected the Wildcats of Arizona to win the National Championship. Led by Freshman point guard Mike Bibby and junior shooting guard Miles Simon, Arizona cut down the nets in Indianapolis. The Wildcats became the first team in tournament history to defeat 3 number one seeds : Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky. Head Coach brought Tucson it’s first title back to campus. Bibby laced up the Nike Royal Foamposite One. Before Penny Hardaway ! Simon the Final Four MOP rocked the Air Max Uptempo 97’ like Scottie Pippen and others.

Summer Olympics Put On Hold Until 2021

Due to the pandemic, currently sweeping through the world a decision has been made about the 2020 Olympics. Due to the pandemic and the safety of everyone involved the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, will be postponed until 2021. It was the correct decision to be made by the International Olympic Committee. Too risky to take place later this summer, with everything that’s currently going on medical and health wise throughout the world. Here at Sports247365 we are fans of basketball, track & field and tennis. However we can all wait until next year...next summer : 2021.

TB12 it will remain that way, as wide receiver Chris Godwin gave his number 12, to the incoming quarterback. Could Tampa and Brady combine to become the first franchise to make a Super Bowl that’s played in their own stadium ? Super Bowl 55 is set to be played in Tampa, next February.

Atlanta & New Orleans College Basketball Void Left

The slogan for the Final Four over the past few years is : The Road Ends Here.
Due to the pandemic no 2020 men’s or women’s NCAA Final Four games to be played.
No NCAA Tournament to be played. Many conference tournaments weren’t played.
The road was supposed to end in the south. The road was supposed to end in Atlanta and New Orleans respectively for the men and women, student athletes of college basketball. Teams like University of Virginia (men) and Baylor (women) wanted as opportunity to defend as reigning National Champions. Yet for safety purposes for all that are involved, it wasn’t meant to be.
2020 was March Madness took place just not from a basketball standpoint. It took place from a pandemic standpoint. No college basketball fan will take for granted March Madness again.

2018 National Champions x Where Are They Now

Two years have passed since the Villanova Wildcats, won their 3rd National Championship in school history. Villanova took care of business in San Antonio, Texas in April 2018. Defeating Kansas in one National Semifinal and taking care of Michigan in the National Championship Game. National Player Of The Year : Jalen Brunson some how, went in the 2nd round of the 2018 NBA Draft. He was selected by the Dallas Mavericks, which is the team he currently plays for. Mikal Bridges won the Julius Erving award in 2018 as college basketball top small forward. After being drafted by the home town Philadelphia 76ers, Bridges switched hats later on during the 2018 NBA Draft. Phoenix made the trade with Philadelphia. Mikal is currently playing for the Suns and is a do it all : Swiss Army knife on both ends of the floor. Donte DiVincenzo became the MOP of the 2018 NCAA Final Four. He scored a championship game record 31 points off the bench vs. Michigan. Donte was a 2018 first round draft pick of the Milwaukee Bucks. Who has the NBA best record even with the stoppage of the 2019-20 NBA season. DiVincenzo is a key contributor off the Bucks bench. Due to injury it’s a year of rebuilding in San Francisco. Eric Paschall was a glue guy for the 2018 title team. The following season Eric became the focal point of the Villanova offense. During the 2019 NBA Draft he became a second round pick of the Warriors. Paschall has taken full opportunity to showcase his talents in the Bay Area.
