Cliff Lee Next Destination Is...

Cliff Lee was traded during 2009-10 off season from Philadelphia to Seattle, however with the Mariners current struggles, Lee probably will be shipped prior to July 31st Major League Baseball trading deadline, similar to being traded last season around same time going from Cleveland to Philadelphia. While helping the Phillies capture NL East, NL Pennant and won two games vs. Yankees during 2009 World Series as New York won it's 27Th world championship. Lee was clearly the Phillies best pitcher surpassing Cole Hamels 2008 World Series & NLCS MVP. Phillies fans wanted to keep Lee for atleast one season with Hamels & Halladay, however Philadelphia recieved minor league players in return from Seattle. Mariners have struggle, they are looking for prospects and will likely receive them, if they trade Lee. Now question is whats the possible destination for Lee when it comes to contendors. Yankees reportly has scouts following Lee during his starts, I'm sure their are other teams in the mix as well, for the services of the former AL Cy Young Award winner. He's currently 7-3 with 2.45 ERA 78 strikeouts vs. 5 walks, after starting the season on DL.

NBA Free Agency Class Of 2010

Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, Chris Bosh, Dirk Nowitzki, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce are the NBA free agency leaders among others come July 1st, 2010 within a matter of hours. Heat, Cavaliers, Raptors, Mavericks, Hawks, Celtics for the mentioned players above can offer their own player the most opposed to other teams. Of course everyone wants to know where James is going, if he's to exit Cleveland. New Jersey, Chicago, Miami, New York and the list goes on and on. Reported closed doors meetings with Wade & Bosh, draft night rumors of Chris Paul going from New Orleans to New Jersey in order to land James, never went down last Thursday. Could the likes of Lebron, Dwyane and Chris each play for Miami or New York or another NBA franchise ? Who really knows. Will Pierce exit Boston after making NBA Finals two of final three seasons winning a title and NBA Finals MVP in 2008. Amare Stoudemire is opting out in Phoenix and could be an excellent free agent acquisition. Class of 2010 free agents could be the best in league history. Wade truly is hungry not winning a playoff series after he led Miami over Dallas in 2006 NBA Finals also winning MVP of the series. James has captured league best record two straight seasons, ditto for league regular season MVP, however lost to Orlando and Boston the last two Eastern Conference Playoffs during respective Conference Finals & Seminfinals. Dirk has appeared in 2006 NBA Finals and won a league MVP however wants to win a title like Amare. We'll see how everything plays out, nevertheless it'll me must see tv next season for ESPN ABC & TNT during national broadcast.

Philadelphia Phillies 2010 May Not Be Their Year

Philadelphia enters tonight game vs. Cleveland Indians at Citizens Bank Park in third place in NL East, two games behind New York Mets for second place and overall 5.5 games back of Atlanta for 1st place. Philadelphia seemed to break through last week in New York, taking 2 of 3 games at Yankee Stadium, however this weekend lost 2 of 3 to Minnesota, as the Twins won final two games of series 13-10 in extra innings Sunday, as the Philadelphia bullpen gave up 5 runs in the bottom of the ninth and eventually lost in later, then the Phillies offense was four hit and scored only once during Sunday defeat, bringing the current home record to 17-15, two games over .500. Ace Roy Halladay lost Sunday vs. Twins now has lost last three starts to fall to 8-6 overall. Philadelphia current record is 35-32 three games off the paste in the NL Wild Card standings. Leadoff hitter and shortshop Jimmy Rollins has only played 12 games this season, currently serving his second stint on DL with a calf injury, Philadelphia has relied on home runs, they haven't been stealing bases, advancing or scoring runners on base with less than two outs thus far this season. Its been a struggle offensively for Chase Utley, Raul Ibanez, Jason Werth among others. Seems at times this season, team gets good starting pitching, bullpen gives up the lead or team gets inconsistent starting pitching and bullpen has to pitch too much, besides Halladay the rotation hasn't been consistent, Hamels and Moyer have had their moments however must get better. Even more concerning is Blanton and Kendrick pair of guys who have struggled this season. Injuries besides Rollins have played a role as well, Lidge, Romero, Ruiz, Madson, Blanton, Happ have either spent time on DL as some point this season or currently still on the DL. The team has played 67 games and have 98 remaining, can they turn it around to win NL East for the fourth season in a row, win the NL pennant for 3rd season in a row and more importantly play in their 3rd World Series in a row. Many believe this team looks tired from the amount of games they have played being in the postseason 2007-2009 and some believe once Rollins returns that'll jump start the offense. Truly only time will tell, don't expect a major move at the trade dealine, hasn't been the trend for Phillies ownership, once the group sets a budget, they will not go over that number, has a remind of someone feel, oh yeah, those guys across the street over at NovaCare Complex, the Philadelphia Eagles, kings of NFL salary cap and having the most money under the cap.

Armando Galarraga 8 2/3 Inning Perfect Game

Tuesday June 2ND, 2010 simply another AL Central game between Cleveland Indians & Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Tigers starting pitcher Armando Galarraga was on the mound, Galarraga was the team opening day pitcher as well. 28 year old native of Venezuela was acquire in February 2008 with a career record of 21-18 & 4.50ERA. However Galarraga begun to retire one Indians hitter after another. There has already been a pair of perfect games this season MLB 19th & 20th respectively from a historic standpoint.
