Pacquiao vs. Mosley This Spring Fight Fans

No waiting around for Floyd Mayweather Jr. for Manny Pacquiao and his camp, next up Sugar Shane Mosley. Pacquiao just defeated Margarito while Mosley just defeated Sergio Mora. Mosley prior to that fight lost to Mayweather Jr. while Pacman defeat Joshua Clottey. The fight will take place May 7th, 2011 in Las Vegas. It should be an interesting and entertaining fight. That could feature plenty of offensive fireworks.

Will Pryor Stay At Ohio State For 2011 Suspension

Jim Tressel is getting his football team ready for another BCS Bowl game. His star quarterback Terrell Pryor and four other teammates will be suspended for five games during the 2011 season. Could this be Pryor final game in a Buckeye uniform. The sophomore could opt for the 2011 NFL Draft. The NCAA handed down the sentence last week for all five players, for selling merchandise and getting body work done as well. Pryor mentioned he wanted to assist his mother. Universities make millions of dollars of these student athletes and if the athletes attempt to make money, like in this situation, if caught they'll have to pay the consequences. Also each player will have to pay back the money in which they recieved. Most players come from low income settings, they see their jersies being sold & worn, while they are struggling for basic needs such as clothes, footwear, food etc while everyone profits except them.

Lebron Leads Heat Over Kobe And Lakers On Christmas

Christmas Day 2010 featured the main course of matchups, thus far during the 2010-11 NBA regular season. Lebron James would come into Staples Center and along with Wade and Bosh to play against Bryant and the two time defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. Miami won the game 96-80, however they beat LA in every faze of the game. Especially defensively, Miami was stingy, limiting Kobe to 6 for 16 shooting from the field, Wade anchored the defensive effort vs. Bryant. Miami bigs limited the front line of Gasol, Odom and Bynum. Miami seems to be peaking, while the Lakers seem to be struggling over the past 2-3 weeks. LA currently is 4th in the West, while Miami after a slow start is 2nd in the East. Will this be a NBA Finals preview or could either team fall by the waist side during the playoffs. James gave the Knicks a triple double last week in New York. Christmas Day 3000 miles away he gave the Lakers a triple double in Los Angeles.

Rodgers & Packers Continue Giants 2nd Half Collapse

Since 2004 minus the 2007 Super Bowl winning season, the New York football Giants under head coach Tom Coughlin have struggled during the second half of each season. Last week at New Meadowlands Stadium, the Giants controlled their own destiny. With a win against the Eagles, they would have the inside track to the NFC East title. However if the Giants loss they would have a tough time winning the division, but had a chance to make the playoffs as a wildcard team. New York pressured Michael Vick for 3.5 quarters and took a 31-10 lead with 8 minutes left to go in the game. Final score Eagles 38 Giants 31, you asked what happened ? Vick and the Philadelphia offense where able to make plays, the Philadelphia defense came up with some stops and finally Desean Jackson as time expired score on a game winning punt return touchdown. Nevertheless in Green Bay with a win, New York could secure a playoff spot and eliminate the Packers. Packers 45 Giants 14, now the Packers can clinch a playoff birth next week vs. Chicago. Green Bay now hold the head to head tie breaker vs. New York. Aaron Rodgers coming off a concusion where he missed 1.5 games, threw for over 400 yards at home. The Packers can enter the postseason with a Giants lost at Washington next week. Eli Manning threw 4 more interceptions to led to his league leading total. Last week people blamed punter Dodge, this week it may be Coughlin.

Shanahan Benches McNabb For Remainder Of The Season

First year Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan has benched McNabb once again. McNabb was initially benched in Detroit earlier in the season during the last drive, which turned into a loss vs. the Lions. Now McNabb after the Redskins loss a week ago vs. Tampa, he's been benched and demoted to 3rd string quarterback. McNabb has thrown the most interceptions in his career this season. However he's loss several offensive weapons like running back Clinton Portis. Clearly McNabb isn't on the same page with the former Broncos head coach. Now the likes of Rex Grossman who will start and John Beck will become the backup quarterback, are on the depth chart, above a player who's gone to several Pro Bowls, won several division titles, played in five NFC Championship Games & appeared in a Super Bowl.

Yao Ming Injured Again Will Miss Rest Of The Season

Yao Ming as played five games thus far this season and will miss the remainder of the season, like he did last season. Yao has another stress fracture which was revealed in a MRI. When he's healthy Ming has the ability to average 20 points and 10 rebounds. The unfortunate part for Ming and the Rockets is he's only played more than 57 games in a season once since 2005-06. Could the injury be career threatening or can the center from China continue on at some point. The Rockets have been build around him and his interior scoring, rebounding, block shots and passing. Without Yao Houston clearly is a different team. It's truly a franchise in limbo.

Surprise Surprise Lee Rejoins Phillies Over Yankees & Rangers

Cliff Lee over the past two seasons has gone from Cleveland to Philadelphia to Seattle to Texas, now back to Philadelphia. Cliff Lee won an AL Cy Young with Cleveland, he's also appeared in the 2009 and 2010 World Series with Philadelphia and Texas respectively. Unfortunately Lee has been on the losing side to the Yankees and Giants. The Phillies loss Jason Werth in free agency last week to Washington. During the 11Th hour they became a major player for Lee with the Rangers and Yankees. Finally the announcement was made Cliff Lee would be returning to Philadelphia after leaving money on the table with New York and Texas. Lee stated he never wanted to leave and always left open the possibilities of returning to Philadelphia. The Phillies will need timely hitting next season from Rollins, Victorino, Utley, Howard and others if they are to win the World Series. However they have an award winning starting rotation. Halladay has won Cy Young awards in both leagues, Lee has won an AL Cy Young, Hamels has won NLCS & World Series MVP and Oswalt has won NLCS MVP.

Metrodome Roof Collapses

Early Sunday morning the Metrodome roof collapsed. Minneapolis received over two feet of snow this weekend. The New York Giants had to fly into Kansas City on Saturday since the airport in Minneapolis was shut down. The game was going to be played Monday Night, then the collapse took place. Now the NFL is reporting Monday night is when the game will take place, however it'll be in Detroit. Ford Field will be the venue and basically a neutral site game for the Vikings and Giants. Also next Monday the Vikings were schedule to play their final home, who know's if the dome will be usuable.

Cam Newton Becomes Auburn University 2nd Heisman Trophy Winner

Vincent 'Bo' Jackson running back of the Auburn Tigers ran with power and speed in route to winning the 1985 Heisman Trophy. Twenty five years later Jackson was in New York City during the 2010 presentation. He wanted to support a fellow Tiger athlete in Cam Newton who was a candidate. Newton eventually took home the award over the likes of James the running back from Oregon and Luck the quarterback from Stanford, his next stop will be in Glendale, Arizona in January for an oppotunity to win a National Championship. Auburn will face Oregon in the BCS title game. Newton and his father has been in the news all season. Cameron has managed to do well team wise and individually with all the pay to play investigations.

Army vs. Navy Annual Game Never Gets Old

Philadelphia will host the 109Th annual Army vs. Navy game at Lincoln Financial Field, known as America's Game. Navy leads the all time series vs. Army 54-49-7. Last season Navy defeated Army 17-3. Both teams are bowl eligible prior to this game for the first time since 1996. Next season Washington will host the Black Knights and Midshipmen at Fed Ex Field. It's a history of basically brothers playing one another and gets extremely emotional for both academes. Players realize they'll go on to serve their country post graduation, were they'll be on the same team. State side and abroad.

Carl Crawford Remains In AL East Joins Red Sox Leaves Rays

The Boston Red Sox began their off season with resigning designator power hitter David Ortiz. Followed by a trade for 1st basemen and All Star Adrian Gonzalez from the San Diego Padres. Now this past week at the Winter Meetings in Florida, Boston signed outfielder Carl Crawford from the Tampa Bay Rays. Thus far Boston has made the biggest moves this winter. The Red Sox play in the most competitive division in baseball the AL East. They'll look to regain their World Series form in 2011. Boston won the Fall Classic in 2004 and 2007 respectively defeating St. Louis and Colorado. Since those years fellow division teams Tampa appeared in a Fall Classic and their rivals the Bronx Bombers have won another title. Crawford will provide excellent defense, speed, base stealing and power at the top of the Red Sox lineup. He's pleased to sign a 7 year $142 million deal.

Jason Werth Signs Free Agent Contract With Washington Nationals

The first legitimate move of the major league off season took place at the Winter Meetings this past week. Jason Werth the former Philadelphia Phillies All-Star outfielder, has inked a 7 year $126 million deal with the Washington Nationals. Super agent Scott Boras helped Werth with negotiating the mega deal. How good will the Nationals be in 2011? How much will the Phillies miss the power right handed hitting bad in their left handed lineup? The pair of National League East opponents will square off 18 times next season. According to Werth he felt unwanted, even with the Phillies attempt to make a deal and offer arbritration. Clearly Philadelphia didn't offer enough years or money and Washington did. The 31 year old Werth has clearly set himself and his family up for life.

Spurs Race To Early Season Best Record

Currently the San Antonio Spurs have the best record in the NBA. San Antonio is 17-3, during the first month and a half of the 2010-11 NBA season. Can the veteran Spurs maintain the top spot in the Western Conference and NBA? Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili have won three NBA Championships together, the last took place in 2007 as the Spurs defeated the Cavaliers. Coach Greg Popovich is getting help from young players such as DeJuan Blair and George Hill. San Antonio will look to push the two time defending NBA Champion Los Angeles Lakers this spring during the playoffs.

How Real Are Matt Ryan And The Atlanta Falcons

Sunday, Falcons head coach Mike Smith witnessed his Atlanta Falcons improve to 10-2. Currently the Falcons are the number one seed in the NFC and if it remains that way, the NFC come playoff time could come through the Georgia Dome. A place where quarterback Matt Ryan has one of the best home records to begin a career at home during the Superbowl era. The Falcons defeated a young but tough Tampa Bay team. Wide receiver Roddy White along with Ryan are both being talked about in the MVP race. It'll be interesting to see how the Falcons respond down the stretch. They'll play host to the Saints in a few weeks, they defeated the defending champions earlier this season in New Orleans.

What's Wrong With Peyton Manning Throwing Interceptions

Currently the Indianapolis Colts are 6-6 and trail the Jacksonville Jaguars by a game in the AFC South. Sunday the Colts lost at home to Dallas at home in overtime 38-35. Peyton Manning threw 4 more interceptions, 2 were returned for touchdowns, last Sunday in another home loss to the Chargers, Manning threw 4 interceptions while 2 were returned for touchdowns. The Colts have loss several offensive players this season at running back, wide receiver and tight end due to injuries, however Manning has hurt himself and his team with these interceptions. Realistically, if the Colts are to make the postseason they'll have to probably win the AFC South, they have a huge game this Thursday at Tennesse and then host the Jaguars the following week. Manning must solve his interception issues for the Colts to make the playoffs.

Auburn & Oregon On National Championship Collision

Heisman hopeful Cameron Newton despite the news surrounding his father Cecil Newton, led the Auburn Tigers to the SEC Championship Saturday in Atlanta. Newton scored a combination of 6 touchdowns in a 56-17 route of South Carolina. While in the annual Civil War Game Oregon went on the road and defeated Oregon State 37-20 led by quarterback Darron Thomas. Cameron was reinstated this week by the NCAA after investigations showed he did nothing wrong, instead his father asked various college programs for cash. University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale,Arizona will be the site of the BCS Championship Game on January 10th. It'll be SEC vs. Pac 10 the last two years the BCS Championship has been won by Florida and Alabama respectively, the conference will look to three peat with an Auburn victory. The Pac10 hasn't won a national championship since USC under Pete Carroll, won it all in 2004.

McDaniels & Broncos Part Of Spygate II

Josh McDaniels prior to being named Denver Broncos head coach, he was an assistant for the New England Patriots. New England was investigated a few years ago for being accused of video taping opposing teams practice. Now Denver has been accused of doing the same, while over in England to take on the 49ers a few weeks ago. Reports say a Broncos employee tried to show McDaniels the footage and Josh turned him down. However the Broncos and McDaniels will be fined by the NFL, the league fined the coach for with holding the information in which he was presented. Denver had struggled this season and last season after starting 6-0. People were wondering if Josh McDaniels job was on the line even prior to this situation, now with this situation who knows what the outcome will be as the league investigates.

South Beach Big 3 Early Season Issues

9-8 record to begin the 2010-11 NBA season, is a solid start for several teams. However when you bring the likes of Wade, Bosh and James to Miami as Pat Riley did this summer, it's a frustrating start to the season. Miami has clearly struggled versus other teams post players and against teams with winning records. Wade this past week has struggled from the field, previously Bosh struggled from the field, however played better this week. James has been the most consistent of the three All Stars. Mike Miller the sharp shooting free agent should be back during the second half of the season, he'll be able to space the floor and knock down open shots off the double team. Haslem the heart and soul of the Heat, a player who does the dirty work, has had foot issues and will be out for quite sometime as well. The Heat are searching for answers, the Biscayne Bay saga continues.

Kemba Walker & UConn Knock Off Pair Of Top Team Teams In Maui

Senior point guard Kemba Walker, has seen his numbers rise each year during his previous three seasons in Storrs, Connecticut. Kemba Walker has that New York City flare, he keeps his hometown dear to his heart. UConn opened the 2010-11 season by winning the Maui Invitation Tournament defeating the likes of Michigan State ranked second and Kentucky ranked ninth along the way. Those pair of early season victories, will look great on UConn resume in March during selection Sunday. UConn had an up and down 2009-10 season and missed the NCAA Tournament. Head coach Jim Calhoun was ill last year and missed several games, Calhoun and his team will look to bounce back this season. Truly a confidence builder for a young team prior to the start of the Big East schedule.

Duke On A Mission To Win Back To Back Titles

Last season Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski won his 4Th national championship. Duke this season will be looking to go back to back for the 2ND time, the first time since 1991 and 1992. Coach K has Kyle Singler the lanky forward who plays the game of basketball with a serious passion along with highly recruited freshman point guard Kyrie Irving. Duke also landed the sharp shooting younger brother of Stephen Curry and son of Dell Curry former NBA player. Bottom line this 2010-11 edition of the Duke Blue Devils are locked and loaded and ready to defend it's title. They open the 2010-11 season ranked number one and through the first two weeks of the season, remain undefeated.

Boise State Kicks BCS Championship Dreams Away

Kyle Brotzman missed a field goal with two seconds left in the 4Th quarter. That particular field goal would have given Boise State a victory and keep their undefeated season alive. Anthony Martinez Nevada's freshmen kicker made a 34 yard field goal in overtime. Nevada ranked 19Th defeated Boise State ranked 4Th capping a 17 point halftime deficit comeback. Boise State not only kiced away in BCS Championship Game dreams and probably a BCS Bowl game at large bid. This loss helps TCU among other teams in the BCS field that are ranked near the top.

College Football At Wrigley Field And New Yankee Stadium

Northwestern hosted Illinois in an instate Big Ten battle, not in Evanston, but at Wrigley Field. In college football it was the weekend of games being played in baseball stadiums. New Yankee Stadium was the host of Army vs. Notre Dame. It was a flashback to old school college football that was played in the original Yankee Stadium and Wrigley Field. It was similar to the current Winter Classic on New Years Day as NHL teams play in a football or baseball stadium odors. Yankee Stadium will actually play host to a bowl game this upcoming bowl season. Clearly their was more room for football at the newer stadium in New York opposed to the veteran Stadium in Chicago. Northwestern and Illinois could only drive on offense in one direction, due to the fact the other direction was close to a brick wall. Nevertheless brick wall or lack of space, the game was enjoyable for fans players and those involved covering the game. This was a great idea by the NCAA, hopefully fans will get more of these venues during upcoming seasons.

Leslie Frazier Replaces Fired Brad Childress In Minnesota

The NFL has seen it's second coach in two weeks get fired. Green Bay defeated Dallas in blowout fashion and Wade Phillips was fired. Sunday they went into the Metrodome and blew out Minnesota. Brad Childress was fired and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier was named interim coach. Will Frazier be able to win vs. Washington this Sunday in his first game. Cowboys interim coach Jason Garrett won his first game vs. New York as Dallas defeated the Giants, followed by a win vs. Detroit this past weekend. Garrett and Frazier will look to land a perminent head coaching job beyond this season with their current orgazinations or elsewhere. Frazier is one of the few minority coaches in the National Football League. Leslie has made it known even at 3-7, Brett Favre will start at quarterback for the Vikings. Childress was rumored to have several falling out moments with Favre, Harvin and other Vikings players. Some believe Brad had lost the locker room in his 6th season as Vikings head coach.

Philadelphia Spectrum Gone Forever

The Spectrum in Philadelphia orginally opened in 1967. November 23rd,2010 was the day the recking ball started to take down the veteran arena, to make place for an entertainment complex. In 2003 Veterans Stadium was blown up and is currently a parking lot for the Sports Complex located in South Philadelphia. The Spectrum in recent years has been called the Corestate/First Union/ Wachovia Spectrum. The likes of Bob Clarke and Bernie Parent have won a pair of Stanley Cups for the Philadelphia Flyers. Dr. J other known as Julius Erving won a championship their as well as Wilt Chamberlain won the other basketball title. There are several Spectrum memories from NCAA Tournament games, concerts, circus, wrestling and many more events. The building may be taken apart brick by brick, however fans of Philadelphia sports will have a lifetime of memories.

Sergei Bobrovsky Rookie Goaltender Has Flyers Off To Electric Start

Twenty two year old Sergei Bobrovsky has seized the moment thus far to begin the 2010-11 NHL season. May 6, 2010 Bobrovsky signed a three year entry level contract with the Flyers. Since then he has become known as 'Bob' the nickname Philadelphia media and fans have given him. The Flyers currently sit atop the Eastern Conference after representing the conference in June during the Stanley Cup Finals. Bob, leads the NHL in victories and opened the season in Pittsburgh defeated the Penguins on the road. Since opening night the goaltender and his teammates have taken off. Head coach Peter Laviolette will have a tough decision to make once Michael Leighton returns after his injury. Leighton helped Philadelphia recover from a 3-0 series deficit and reached the championship round.

Trailblazers Oden Out Once Again

Greg Oden will be having micro fracture surgery and his 2010-11 season will be over, before it even had the chance to get started. Greg Oden the former 2007 number overall selection of the Portland Trailblazers, will be out for the season, the third his career. What does the future hold fr Oden and the Blazers moving forward. Keep in mind the Trailblazers had the chance to draft Brandon Roy and Kevin Durant in consecutive drafts, however opted for Oden in 2007. Oden was supposed to bring a rebounding and shot blocking presence to the Portland frontcourt. Greg Oden hasn't fully recovered for the knee injury that ended his 2009-10 season. Hopefully the seven foot center can have a speedy recovery and rehab.

Jason Garrett Leads Cowboys To Victory

Jason Garrett went from being the Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator to interim head coach, after Wade Phillips was relieved of the coaching duties by owner Jerry Jones. He had a short week to prepare for the New York Giants, however he changed some practice habits for the Cowboys during the week. Along with changing habits for team meetings as well. The Cowboys went into New Jersey and defeated the Giants 33-20, while earning their second win of the season. It was a total team effort for 2-7 Dallas versus 6-3 New York. Antonio Bryant the Cowboys rookie reciever and kick returner played like a beast in both the return and recieving game respectively. Backup quarterback John Kita will has an opptounity to face his former team the Detriot Lions this weekend.

Miami Heat Are In Need Of A Post Presence

The likes of Wade, James and Bosh along with their Heat teammates have been done in by the opponents post presence. If Miami has any hopes of representing the Eastern Conference during June's NBA Finals, they'll need to make a deal for another low post player. Miami has struggled during two home and away losses thus far to the Celtics. Boston is a potential playoff opponent in the East. The Celtics have front court depth that Miami sorely lacks. Even the Utah Jazz came into Miami and picked up a win in overtime in comeback fashion. Paul Milsap had 46 points, which included 18 in the 3rd quarter. New Orleans won at home versus Miami after a defensive player and rebounder in Emeka Okafor scored 28 points. It's possible Pat Riley will pull the trigger on that move and also exit the front office for a seat on the Heat bench as head coach. Heat and NBA fans stay tuned.

Redskins Sign McNabb To Contract Extension With A Clause

Donovan McNabb went from coming off a bye week in which he was benched the week prior versus Detroit, to signing a contract extension Monday afternoon prior to Monday Night Football versus the Eagles. The 59-28 loss didn't sit well with McNabb or the Redskins. Washington dipped below .500 with a 4-5 record and are 2-1 in the NFC East. Reports have surfaced the deal that was reported as 5 years $78 million and $40 million quaranteed, has an opt out clause after this season. If McNabb is released following the 2010 season, Washington would only owe him $3.75 million. It'll be interesting to see how McNabb and Washington finishes the final seven games of the season. McNabb threw for 295 yards versus Philadelphia and two touchdowns, nevertheless he also had three interceptions, including one for a touchdown.

Vick Leads Monday Night Massacre In McNabb Bowl II

During week four earlier this season, Washington defeated Philadelphia 17-12 at Lincoln Financial Field. Former Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb received a standing ovation from the Philadelphia crowd prior to kickoff. McNabb also let it be known the Eagles organization made a mistake by trading him in the off season. The Redskins were in first place and at that time there to stay according to McNabb. Two weeks after being benched vs. Detroit, McNabb received a contract extension prior to the Monday Night game versus Philadelphia. Before Washington could get their initial first down in Landover at Fed Ex Field, the Eagles were ahead 35-0. The quarterback McNabb help bring to Philadelphia was Michael Vick. Vick coming off NFC Offensive Player Of The Week honors, after the Eagles defeated the Colts the week prior, may have earned that award once again. During Philadelphia's 59-28 win against Washington, Vick threw for 4 touchdowns and ran for 2 toucdowns. Michael Vick threw for 333 yards and rushed for 80 yards. He threw an 88 yard touchdown to DeSean Jackson during the Eagles first offensive play from scrimmage. McNabb threw for 295 yards 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. Washington falls to 4-5 and face the Titans next week in Nashville, Philadelphia improves to 6-3 and face the Giants next week at Lincoln Financial Field.
Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles offense had a record setting night in many ways, the team looks to improve during the stretch run of the season.

Moss Released

Sunday Brett Favre was knocked out in a loss to New England. Monday after suffering a lost to those same Patriots Randy Moss former team, his current team released him. Yes, after trading for Moss several weeks ago Minnesota has waived the veteran wide reciever. Rumors suggest Moss was unhappy with the coaches and ask for his release. A release he was give abruptly and immediately. His return to Minnesota and the team that drafted him in 1998 was short lived. The Vikings would win only once during his recent stint. It'll be interesting to see if and when Moss will end up on another NFL team. Randy recieved an emotional welcome back to New England Sunday as fans cheered for him.

McNabb Benched During Final Drive

First year head coach Mike Shanahan benched first year Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb. Rex Grossman came out to the Washington huddle with less than two minutes to go vs. Detroit. His first play resulted into a fumble and a defensive touchdown that sealed the Lions second victory of the season.
During the previous Washington possession McNabb threw into triple coverage which resulted in an interception. Shanahan was quoted saying after the game he believed Rex Grossman gave the team a better chance in that situation, which was a two minute drive. McNabb had issues on various occassions in Philadelphia with the two minute offense and according to the head coach, it may be an issue in Washington. McNabb is a free agent to be this off season, teams such as Minnesota and Arizona could be in need of a starting quarterback. Nevertheless with eight games remaining on the Redskins schedule, it'll be interesting to see the relationship between quarterback and coach after this decision. However McNabb was name the starter after the bye week, that opponent on Monday Night Football will be the Philadelphia Eagles. Washington injured Michael Vick in game on between both teams, which led to a Redskins win. This game will be in Landover. Now media will have two weeks prior to the game to break down the move made at Ford Field.

Pacquio vs. Margarito

Cowboys Stadium will play host to another Manny Pacquio bout. Pacquio this past March defeated Joshua Clottey in Arlington, TX. Antonio Margarito is coming off a lengthy suspension after having his hands illegally rapped prior to his bout with Shane Mosley. Not only was Antonio suspended he took a beating vs. Sugar Shane suffering a knockout loss. Cowboys Stadium the wonderland of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will play host to Superbowl XLV in February. Margarito will be looking for redemption in this fight. While new Phillipino politician Pacquio will look to show he can do many things. This figt was signed after Manny and his people couldn't sign a major bout vs. Mayweather Jr. Pac Man will look to add another big name victim to his list of victories. Saturday November 13th both fighters will allow their hands to do the talking as they search for championship gold.

Auburn & Oregon Remain Unbeaten

Last week Auburn were ranked number one and Oregon were ranked number two in the BCS respectively. Both schools remained undefeated this past Saturday, however they flipped spots atop the BCS, now Oregon is ranked number one and Auburn is ranked number two. Oregon defeated Southern California in Los Angeles. Auburn defeated Ole Miss. In recent weeks previous number one ranked teams such as Alabama, Ohio State & Oklahoma have loss. With a month left to go in the college football season and potential conference championship game matchups, plenty of BCS bowl bids are at stake. Also at stake is a pair of spots in the BCS National Championship Game in Glendale, Arizona at University of Phoenix Stadium.

Rangers vs. Giants Each Punch Their Ticket To Fall Classic

Texas defeated the defending World Series champion New York Yankees 4-2 in the ALCS. San Francisco defeated the two time defending National League champion Philadelphia Phillies 4-2 in the NLCS. Josh Hamilton of the Rangers won ALCS MVP. Cody Ross of the Giants won NLCS MVP. World Series Game 1 begins on Wednesday in San Francisco. The National League finally broke their All Star Game losing streak in July, which allowed the NL to have home field during the Fall Classic. We'll see what type of ratings FOX will get with these two unexpected teams, making it to this point. Cliff Lee will look to win a world championship for the first time and will be a free agent after the season. Cody Ross who's been hot all postseason will be in search for his first world championship. San Francisco has never won a World Series in that city, ditto for Texas. The Giants last world championship took place in 1954, while playing in New York. The country will get to know both teams players, that are veterans and youth. It should be an interesting competitive series.

#1's Upset In Madison & Columbia

The last three college football weekends have featured three number one ranked teams going down on the road. Two weeks ago #1 Alabama lost at South Carolina, last week #1 Ohio State lost at Wisconsin and this week #1 Oklahoma lost at Missouri. More than likely the Oregon Ducks will probably be ranked #1 in the country, going into next weekend. Ducks, be careful...it's your turn as a number one rank team. It'll be interesting to see how the voters place teams such as Boise State and Texas Christian. Since traditional BCS Conference teams have gone down the last three weeks. Let the debate begin, if both teams go undefeated, could one or both make the BCS Championship game. Would the voters allow one or two one loss teams to meet in the title game. Those teams would come from a BCS Conference. The puzzle will clearly unfold during the next several weeks.

Former Jet Favre Brings Vikings & Allegations In NY For MNF

Brett Favre played one season in New York during the 2008 season for the Jets. New York didn't make the playoffs after a solid start. Favre 'retired' which let to the drafting of Mark Sanchez and firing of their head coach, then the hiring of Rex Ryan. Allegations has surfaced during the bye week, with Favre and a Jets employee, a women accusing Favre of sending voice messages and photos, that she didn't agree with. The NFL is currently investigating the situation. Revis vs. Moss Part II this season takes place. Revis last played a few weeks ago after injuring his hamstring vs. New England. During that game Moss burned Revis for a long touchdown. Moss is playing on the road on MNF during back to back weeks. After the Patriots defeated the Dolphins last week in Miami, Moss was traded back to Minnesota. The Vikings drafted Moss in 1998, when several teams passed on him. There is so may story lines in this game.

Wade Phillips and Cowboys Lose To Titans Fall To 1-3

The seat for head coach Wade Phillips has become more warm in Dallas, now that the Cowboys have opened up the 2010 season 1-3. The record is currently good enough for last place in the NFC East, as the Redskins, Giants and Eagles are tied with 3-2 records, for 1st place in the division.
Dallas all summer has been a top NFC choice to represent the NFC during February's SuperBowl at Cowboys Stadium. However Vince Young, Chris Johnson, Nate Washington and Kenny Britt make their collective and respective presence known on Sunday. Once again the Cowboys put up great offensive numbers, however when they needed key scoring drives in the 4th quarter, those drives ended with penalties or turnovers. Dallas still has a pair of division games remaining against Philadelphia and New York and one game vs. Washington who they lost to already. Along with the likes of the Saints, Vikings and Colts to name a few. Many believe it's not a matter of if, but when Jerry Jones will relieve Wade Phillips of his coaching duties.

10/10/10 Night Of Winners In Philadelphia

8:07pm on TBS, Phillies vs. Reds during Game 4 of the NLDS. 8:30pm on NBC, Eagles vs. 49ers as the 2-2 Philadelphia flew 3,000 miles west on national television to take on 0-4 San Francisco. Final scores Philles 2 Reds 0 Cole Hamels 2008 NLCS and World Series MVP, pitched a complete game shutout in Cincinnati & Eagles 27 49ers 24. The Reds were swept, the National League Central Champions went quitely into the night. The Phillies advance to the NLCS for the third straight season.
