No Westbrook Major Problem Grizzlies Advance To 1st Ever West Finals
Western Conference #1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder were able to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals defeating Houston 4-2 after losing Russell Westbrook to a knee injury early in the series & for the remainder of the playoffs. Kevin Durant did what he could do the remainder of the playoffs, but clearly R.West was clearly missed. He is the spoon the stirs the drink, despite the fact critics say he shoots too much. Losing the UCLA point guard puts more pressure on the rest of the team including KD to create their own shots. James Harden was traded to Houston over the summer. We all wonder if OKC could have advanced to their 3rd straight West Finals if Harden was still on the team even with Westbrook ailing. We'll never know. What we do know is the team formerly known as the Vancouver Grizzles will take on San Antonio or Golden State while playing in their initial conference finals. They are a solid team, who traded Rudy Gay away during the season. They flat out get it done on defense and like to feed Gasol and Randolph in the post. Their opponent better expect a physical grind it out type series versus the Grizzlies.
