Kevin Durant Should Be 2009-10 NBA MVP No Less Than Co MVP

Kevin Durant, during the 2009-10 NBA season, led Oklahoma City Thunder to 50-32 regular season record. Within a Western Conference that featured all eight playoff teams with at least 50 wins, meaning there was no night off for the Thunder or Durant. Teams such as the defending World Champion Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz, Portland Trailblazers and San Antonio Spurs. Along with teammates Russell Westbrook and Jeff Green, Durant led the team on a 27 win improvement from 2008-09 season. While becoming the youngest scoring champion in NBA history at age 21, he averaged 30.1ppg beating out Lebron James. Durant set another NBA record, this one previously held by Allen Iverson, scoring at least 25 points in a game. Also made the most free throws in a season, in twenty years, most since Michael Jordan, shooting 90% from free throw line. Kevin Durant played in his first NBA All Star game this season as well. With all due respect to Lebron James, who this season led Cleveland to it's second straight 60 win season, he averaged 29.7ppg, 7rpg, 7apg on 50% fg. Both players deserve MVP for outstanding seasons, even if the competition in the Eastern Conference isn't as tough as it is in the West. Durant shouldn't be shut out of MVP, deserving at least Co MVP honors. However voters would be doing something they've never done since 1955-56 NBA season, which is the initial season MVP came about.

Floyd came out of retirement after nearly two years and won every round in route to an unanimous decision victory over Juan Manuel Marquez, in his last fight. Shane in his previous fight defeated Antonio Margarito via TKO in round nine. Many boxing experts believe a mega fight with Manny Pacquiao, could be in the works for the winner of this bout. Mayweather Jr. was originally supposed to fight Pacquiao this past March. The fight was to take place in the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington,TX however Olympic steroid testing or lack there of, caused the fight not to happen. Instead Manny fought Joshua Clottey in the same venue, winning an unanimous decision. Several boxing experts believe everyone wants to see Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, however because Mayweather is such a defensive boxer, the action fight would be Mosley vs. Pacquiao. HBO has followed both boxers during it's series 24/7, during the build up for the prize fight. They've interviewed both men as well as their respective training camps. Both Floyd and Shane have said some interesting things about one another along the way, same could be said about their respective camps. Nevertheless, we're less than one week away from biggest fight of the calendar year 2010. Mosley, will look to defeat Mayweather Jr. something forty previous boxers failed to do, Mayweather Jr. will look to defeat another Hall of Fame boxer like he did with Oscar De La Hoya as well as others.

NFL Suspends Roethlisberger First Six Games

All the drama began summer 2006 Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers starting quarterback driving minus a valid Pennsylvania motorcycle license. While in the city of Pittsburgh, Ben minus a helmet crashed head first into a vehicle face first, fractured his jaw and right sinus cavity, which caused the quarterback to lose a pair of teeth, also chipped several others. Bill Cowher at the time was Steelers coach, talked to Roethlisberger about motorcycle safety, former Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw who won 4 Super Bowl titles in the 1970's told Ben "to ride motorcylces when you retire" while visiting Steelers training camp, later that summer. Since that time Roethlisberger and Bradshaw haven't had much of a positive relationship, basically the two men can't stand one another. June 2008, while in Lake Tahoe for a celebrity golf tournament Roethlisberger was accused of sexual assault. His accuser bragged to a fellow co-worker that she had consensual sex with the quarterback, possibly even being pregnant. However the co-worker said in affidavit, she wanted to set the story straight. Also she didn't want false allegations to unfairly and unjustly hurt Roethlisbeger. McNabb Traded To Redskins, Continue Career In DC

Easter Sunday 2010 or 4/4/10, historic day in Philadelphia Eagles history. Donovan McNabb 2ND selection 1999 NFL Draft was dealt to Washington Redskins for 2010 2ND Round selection and future picks as well. Since the regular season and NFC Wild Card losses at Dallas in consecutive weeks this past January, trade rumors have squired around the franchise quarterback. Finally Sunday a deal was made, not Buffalo, nor Cleveland, or Oakland, however it was Eagles NFC East Division rival Washington Redskins. Donovan will bring his 92 - 49 - 1 career regular season record, 9-7 postseason record, 32,873 passing yards & 216 touchdowns to Washington. Former Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan coached John Elway during back to back Superbowl's to complete a Hall of Fame career, will look to do the same with McNabb. Redskins have also acquired former Steelers running back Willie Parker and former Chiefs running back Larry Johnson. McNabb will have an opportunity to play Philadelphia and former coach Andy Reid twice a season. Eagles have named 4Th year veteran Kevin Kolb starting quarterback, other youthful offensive talent will include wide receivers Desean Jackson & Jeremy Maclin, running back Shady McCoy and tight end Brent Celek. Philadelphia clearly are moving in a younger direction by trading McNabb & Sheldon Brown two days apart, while releasing Brian Westbrook earlier this off season as well as other veteran players. With McNabb still within NFC East will the trade help the Redskins reach the postseason and improve on their lone playoff victory since 2000 ? Will the Eagles suffer or take off with McNabb exiting Philadelphia, with the draft a few weeks away, we'll see this upcoming 2010 season. When the teams link up twice no pun intended at Lincoln Financial Field & Fed Ex Field it'll be must see TV. In Washington will Jason Campbell remain a Redskin or will he be dealt, former McNabb teammate Terrell Owens is also a free agent, it would be interesting to see if Washington will bring in the receiver to play along side Donovan once again, they'll look to address their offensive line need with the 4Th overall selection in the NFL Draft. McNabb clearly along with Reid didn't win the Superbowl in Philadelphia, winning 5 division titles, appearing in 5 NFC Championship Games, Superbowl XXXIX, however when the money was on the table in NFL final two rounds they were a combined 1 - 5, that's what the pair coach and quarterback who came to Philadelphia in 1999 will be remembered by. However McNabb exits and Reid remains after signing a three year contract extension, Washington will look to speak with McNabb and his agent regarding an extension as well. Plenty of Eagles fans have been asking for a quarterback change initially A.J Feeley, Jeff Garcia, now they have it with Kevin Kolb. The saying is be careful what you wish for. McNabb has a new team, fresh start and a fan base, most of which is excepting him with open arms, more importantly motivation from within, after an organization he spend eleven seasons with going from 3-13, 5-11 to one of NFL best franchise, finally traded him.
