Surprise Surprise Lee Rejoins Phillies Over Yankees & Rangers


Cliff Lee over the past two seasons has gone from Cleveland to Philadelphia to Seattle to Texas, now back to Philadelphia. Cliff Lee won an AL Cy Young with Cleveland, he's also appeared in the 2009 and 2010 World Series with Philadelphia and Texas respectively. Unfortunately Lee has been on the losing side to the Yankees and Giants. The Phillies loss Jason Werth in free agency last week to Washington. During the 11Th hour they became a major player for Lee with the Rangers and Yankees. Finally the announcement was made Cliff Lee would be returning to Philadelphia after leaving money on the table with New York and Texas. Lee stated he never wanted to leave and always left open the possibilities of returning to Philadelphia. The Phillies will need timely hitting next season from Rollins, Victorino, Utley, Howard and others if they are to win the World Series. However they have an award winning starting rotation. Halladay has won Cy Young awards in both leagues, Lee has won an AL Cy Young, Hamels has won NLCS & World Series MVP and Oswalt has won NLCS MVP.
