Kansas Ranked Number One Loses Same Day To Pullen & Kansas State

Kansas State, helped Kansas understand the new meaning of one and done. That term is usually reserved for the NCAA Tournament. Monday evening in Manhattan, Kansas, Kansas State defeated top ranked Kansas. Many believed Texas should have been ranked number one after defeating Kansas on the road earlier this season. However voters selected Kansas over number two ranked Texas as the number one ranked team in the nation. Let's see, that lasted all but one day. Senior guard Jacob Pullen scored a career high 38 points, to give Kansas State a much needed statement and conference win. Kansas State will go into Selection Sunday with a key win on their resume. Once the new polls debut next week, their will be a new number one, if Texas can make it out the week undefeated, the Longhorns will probably become the top ranked team in the country. This loss may be a learning experience for the Jayhawks, they blewout their in state rivals at home earlier this season. Kansas may have been over confident coming into the game.
