Stanford Defeats USC 4th Year Straight Season
No Andrew Luck, no problem. Luck the 2012 number one pick of the NFL Draft is gone. He's the rookie quarterback of the Indianapolis Colts. Meanwhile Matt Barkley opted to stay at USC instead of going into the NFL Draft. Barkley wanted the chance to win a National Championship. After Saturday's 21-14 loss to Stanford in Palo Alto, CA those chances look bleak. Barkley threw a pair on interceptions and obviously the Cardinal took full advantage of those opportunities. Clearly Stanford was the more physical team on offense and defense. Clinging to a 7 point 4th quarter lead with about 8 minutes remaining the Cardinal were able to run the football. Stanford was able to chew major minutes off the clock to seal the deal. Most experts will call the game an 'upset' because the Trojans are ranked number two. However when you defeat a team four straight seasons, there is no such thing as an 'upset'. Now USC will probably have to run the table for the rest of their Pac 12 schedule just to have a chance at the BCS National Championship Game.
