Possible 2012-13 NHL Lockout Honestly Who Cares

During the 2004 season the NHL suffered a season long lockout. Fast forward to 2012 and history could repeat itself. If the National Hockey League players and owners, along with each side representatives can't get things done over the next few weeks, history may indeed repeat itself eight years later. Their are far too many professional hockey teams in the United States ! Cities such as Nashville, Phoenix, Tampa, Miami, Raleigh to name a few, aren't great hockey cities. Which means they are losing money at an alarming rate. One thing the owners want the players to do : take less money to close the gap on money lost, due to poor fan attendance in certain cities. Obviously in Canada where hockey is like God it would be missed for how ever long their was a league lockout. Maybe both sides come to an agreement and they avoid a lockout. Nevertheless as of now that is looking highly unlikely. The NFL is getting ready to kickoff their 2012 season and that is America's number one sport. MLB is coming down the stretch with their regular season division races and the start of the NBA is soon to follow. With a strike or lockout the NHL could really put its sport in America way on the back burner.
