Could Reid Be Sacrificing Vick To Save His Job

Following the Eagles 27-6 defeat at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals, Monday 14 year Philadelphia head coach Andy Reid was asked about Michael Vick future as starting quarterback of the Eagles. Reid stated Vick will be evaluated. My question is why isn't Reid evaluating himself. Vick is struggling with turnovers whether that's fumbles or interceptions. Michael clearly must get better, especially in the red zone where turnovers are really devastating, because you don't score any points. Vick and the Philadelphia offense through three weeks are turning the football over way to much. When does Reid actually take responsibility for his game plan, which would help his quarterback and offense ? 25 first half passes against Arizona vs. 5 first half runs. Come on ! In a dome on the road against an excellent defense who brings pressure against Philadelphia's offensive line that's missing starting C and LT, pass pass and pass some more. Why not use Shady McCoy your star running back and get the ball out quickly with slants, crossing routes and screens. McNabb is gone, Reid is still here, could Vick be next to exit town after the 2012 season ? While Reid gets to develop Nick Foles the rookie quarterback out of Arizona. Philadelphia escaped Cleveland during Week 1, Vick missed most of the preseason yet Reid called over 50 passing plays, while McCoy was averaging about 5 yards per carry. Andy Reid clearly is stuck in his way, determined to do what he wants, not changing his ways, which has yet to win him a Superbowl as an NFL head coach and could cost the Eagles a championship this season. He's too stubborn for his own good.
