March 2011 NCAA Basketball Championships, known as the Men's NCAA Tournament, will expand from 65 teams to 68 teams. CBS will share tournament broadcasting rights with Turner Sports and it's family of networks TBS, TNT & truTV. During the spring of 2010 the deal was announced, 14 year contract reportedly worth $11 billion. Thanks to an opt out clause in a television deal signed in 1999, for the first time in history every NCAA Tournament game will be shown on nation television. Starting in 2016, TBS will show all games from the Elite Eight onwards during even-numbered years, while CBS airing those games in odd-numbered years.
