Legendary UCLA Coach John Wooden Gone Not Forgoten

Wooden at age 99 passed away from natural causes on June 4th, 2010, John Wooden guided UCLA Bruins to 10 National Championships which included an unthinkable 7 in a row. Has several players too may to name that played professional basketball Bill Walton and Kareem Abdul Jabbar to name a few, nicknamed the Wizard of Westwood, now has his own in season basketball event The Wooden Classic, a pair of games that take place in Anaheim,CA annually. Past and present players look up to the former teacher from the basketball state of Indiana, Wooden was very influential on today's game, coaches and players always seek him out for advice. Another record of Coach Wooden that will never be touched probably, 38 NCAA Tournament straight wins. His UCLA Bruins were NCAA powerhouses in 1960's & 1970's, players from all over America came to play for him after high school graduation, players came back to pay homage to him regardless if they went on to professional careers or business careers, such a teacher and players never forgot any of the lessons he taught. Lessons that helped on the basketball court, however more importantly in life.
