Michigan State Football Coach Mark Dantonio Has Heart Attack After Trick Play OT Win Against Notre Dame


Michigan State 34, Notre Dame 31 is what the box score says after a non conference week two college football game. This game featuring Big Ten vs. Independent was more than just a score. The Michigan State Spartans defeated the Notre Dame Fightin' Irish in OT. However MSU Head Coach Mark Dantonio called a fake FG with his team trailing in OT, simply put he risked the tie of a made FG vs. a loss if the pass were to fall incomplete. Aaron Bates passed for the game winning score, a play his head coach called 'Little Giants'. A stent was inserted into the Spartan head coach the following day. Dantonio suffered a mild heart attack. It was an amazing turn of events in East Lansing less than 24 hours apart. Coach was reported to be resting well after the chest procedure. College football fans may have witnessed the called of the season already, also a possible nominee for next years ESPY awards.
