Eagles Lose More Than Just A Game During Week One Loss To Packers

Michael Vick, nearly lead a Philadelphia comeback vs. Green Bay. Vick was stopped on 4Th down & 1 with less than two minutes remaining in the game. A quarterback sneak from the shotgun formation, without any timeouts remaining didn't get the job done. Packers 27 Eagles 20, Philadelphia trailed 13-3 at halftime and trailed 27-10 midway through the 3rd quarter. Kevin Kolb the replacement for Donovan McNabb struggled to move the Eagles offensive, before being knocked out the game due to a concussion. Pro Bowl fullback Leonard Weaver torn his ACL and will be done for the season. Center Jamal Jackson coming back from last years season ending knee injury, torn his bicep. Jackson will miss the remainder of the season as well. Starting MLB Stewart Bradley tried to get up after taking a knee to the helmet. Bradley tried to get up and fell back down. Both he and Kolb returned before halftime, however didn't play rest of the game after additional test. Both players could miss week two in Detroit vs. Lions. Vick moved the ball throughout the 2nd half with running and passing. He was the leading Eagles rusher on the day 103 yards. Let the talk radio and media outlets in Philadelphia begin with two words : quarterback controversy. Coach Reid, announced during his postgame press conference, when Kolb is ready, he'll remain the starter. I wonder how well that'll sit with fans in Philadelphia. While McNabb helped aid Washington to a week one victory vs. Dallas. It'll be an interesting season in Philadelphia win or lose this season.
