Following the 1981, 1984, 1988, 1989 and 1994 seasons. Those opponents were : Cincinnati, Miami,
Cincinnati, Denver and San Diego. Did you know ? : After starting 5-0 on Super Sunday’s, the 49ers have lost their last 2 Super Bowl appearances. This past February in Miami, the 49ers went into the 4th quarter against Kansas City 20-10. The Chiefs came back and won Super Bowl LIV.
Following the 2012 season Baltimore defeated San Francisco in Super Bowl XLVII. The 49ers along with the Cowboys both remain with 5 Lombardi trophies. New England with 6 titles since 2001, are number one all time in Super Bowl victories along with Pittsburgh.
