4 seed in the Southeast regional, no one expected the Wildcats of Arizona to win the National Championship. Led by Freshman point guard Mike Bibby and junior shooting guard Miles Simon, Arizona cut down the nets in Indianapolis. The Wildcats became the first team in tournament history to defeat 3 number one seeds : Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky. Head Coach brought Tucson it’s first title back to campus. Bibby laced up the Nike Royal Foamposite One. Before Penny Hardaway ! Simon the Final Four MOP rocked the Air Max Uptempo 97’ like Scottie Pippen and others.
