Giant Struggles
The New York Giants are coming off a 2010 season where the team finished 10-6 and still missed the NFC Playoffs, after leading the NFL in offense. Eli Manning and the Giants offense turned the football over too many times and still had a chance down the stretch to win the NFC East and make the playoffs before the turnovers finally caught up to the team. During the off season New York lost first round draft pick Prince Amukamara for several weeks during broken foot in practice. Now Osi Umenyiora was upset about his contract status, has opted to have knee surgery, the pass rushing defensive end will miss the start of the season. Terell Thomas the starting cornerback has torn his ACL during pre season action and will be done for the season. The Giants are in a crisis as the season nears and the injuries pile up. They also loss Steve Smith the veteran wide receiver to division rival Philadelphia.
