1987-88 NBC & Bill Cosby would go on to present a Cosby Show spinoff. A Different World made their series debut. Hillman College despite it being a fictional HBCU, the styles including the sneakers were legitimately real !
Actor Kadeem Hardison played the character of Dewayne Wayne. In C. Taylor voice “Mr. Wayne sneakers were just as high and on point as his grades”.
During a Season 1 episode of A Different World, Mr. Wayne is rocking the Air Jordan II pairing the Chicago OG color way with a blazer.
Michael Jordan wore these sneakers in his second season, his second NBA campaign with the Chicago Bulls. Back then the Bulls played their home games at the old Chicago Stadium.
