Kelly Green Officially Returns

 Similar to Ludacris debut album in 2000 titled “Back For The First Time”, so are the Philadelphia Eagles kelly green uniforms. 

Last worn during the 1995 season, they make a return on the last day of July 2023. So far they will be worn twice this season vs. AFC East opponents : Miami & Buffalo in Weeks 7 & 12 respectively.

The Eagles Pro Shop at Lincoln Financial field, is the venue fans in South Philadelphia waited hours for the store to open, long lines as well to purchase kelly green merchandise !

Las Vegas Is The Goal Destination Wise

 In the Delaware Valley as training camp begins for the NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles the fans will let anyone know : the goal following 38-35 defeat vs. Kansas City in February.

The goal is to get back to the Super Bowl. In public the organization & players won’t say it. Nonetheless privately thats the expectation. Especially barring major injury particularly at the quarterback position.

In Super Bowl LVI an opportunity to win the franchise 2nd Lombardi trophy was missed. For a multitude of reasons especially in the 2nd half, which had nothing to do with the field / playing conditions.

Las Vegas is where the team wants to be next February, that’s goal and destination. This season along that journey Philadelphia will face the AFC East, the defending champions in Kansas City, a rematch of the NFC Championship Game vs. San Francisco and obviously Dallas twice. 

Martin Goes Steel X

 

It all began in 1992 when Fox debuted the television show : Martin. Led by comedian Martin Lawrence surrounded by a strong supporting cast.

Thursday night back then, was definitely a great television night. Martin batted lead off at 8pm, Living Single followed eventually New York Undercover would debut at 9pm.

Martin had all the dope HBCU gear, sports apparel and routes far as footwear. 

In this article as you can see Lawrence rocking a Chicago Bulls sweatsuit, while talking to Gina ( Tisha Campbell ). Look down at his feet, Martin laced up the Air Jordan X circa 1994-95. 

Steel color way. Back then while playing baseball & retired from the NBA, at the old Chicago Stadium Michael Jordan rocked the Steel X in a celebrity charity game. 

Nothing Says 1990’s Like : New York Undercover & Timberland Boots

 1994 arrived with FOX adding to an already talented Thursday night lineup. A pair of shows such as Martin and Living Single were already on deck. Now at 9pm New York Undercover arrives. Action & music with many vocalist making cameo appearances. Actor Malik Yoba played Detective J.C Williams.

More times than not, Detective Williams laced up a pair of Timberland boots. In the photo here at Sports247365 we are trying to tell are those the classic double sole 6 inch wheat or as they would say in the inner city “Butt Nakeds” which were the pair minus leather back.

Back then Timberlands were a sign of the times !

Dwayne Wayne Air Jordan 2 Season 1 A Different World

 1987-88 NBC & Bill Cosby would go on to present a Cosby Show spinoff. A Different World made their series debut. Hillman College despite it being a fictional HBCU, the styles including the sneakers were legitimately real !

Actor Kadeem Hardison played the character of Dewayne Wayne. In C. Taylor voice “Mr. Wayne sneakers were just as high and on point as his grades”. 

During a Season 1 episode of A Different World, Mr. Wayne is rocking the Air Jordan II pairing the Chicago OG color way with a blazer. 

Michael Jordan wore these sneakers in his second season, his second NBA campaign with the Chicago Bulls. Back then the Bulls played their home games at the old Chicago Stadium.
