Lakers Retire 8 & 24

From 1996-2003 Kobe Bryant wore number 8 for the Los Angeles Lakers. During that time period along with Shaquille O'Neal the Lakers won 3 championships, during 4 Finals appearances. Which included a 3 peat in June of 2000, June of 2001 and June of 2002. From 2003-2016 Kobe Bryant wore number 24 for the Los Angeles Lakers. During that time period along with Paul Gasol the Lakers won 3 championships, during 3 Finals appearances. Which included winning back to back championships, in June of 2009 and in June of 2010. In April of 2016 Kobe Bryant played in his final game for the Los Angeles Lakers. At halftime of a December 2017 game vs. Golden State, the Lakers retired both jerseys for Kobe Bryant 8 & 24.
