History Made At Superbowl XLVIII Russell Wilson Became 2nd Black QB To Win Title
Sunday February 2nd, 2014 NFL history was made at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. When the 4th quarter clock struck zero the Seattle Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos by 35 points. Russell Wilson who was drafted to play Major League Baseball and drafted in the 3rd round by the Seahawks in 2012 became a World Champion. He became the 2nd black quarterback to win the Superbowl. Doug Williams became the 1st back in Superbowl XXII. The common opponent were the Denver Broncos vs. John Elway and Peyton Manning. Wilson transferred in college from NC State to Wisconsin and led the Badgers to a Big Ten championship and to the Rose Bowl. Russell Wilson only in his 2nd NFL season has reached the mountain top. He may not throw for 300-400 yards on a weekly basis, however I like to always say he simply wins. His numbers may not be the most impressive yet the kid gets the job done. He plays his part on a team with a strong running game, great defense and solid special teams play.
