He's Back ! Ray Lewis Inspires Ravens To Superbowl XLVII
Let's go back and party like it's 2001 ! 12 years later after 3 AFC Championship Game appearances in 5 seasons. Ray Lewis finally gets another chance to play in the Superbowl. Last season frustrating AFC Championship Game loss to New England hurt. Especially when Billy Cundiff missed a FG that could have sent the game into overtime after Lee Evans dropped a potential game winning touchdown. After missing most of the 2012 regular season with an arm injury, Lewis said this season would be his last prior to the start of postseason play. Baltimore won at home in the Wildcard round vs. Indianapolis. Then played an epic double overtime game in Denver before winning by a field goal. Sunday evening Baltimore dominated New England in Foxborough on offense and defense during the 2nd half winning by 15. The Ravens won 34-7 vs. New York during their only Superbowl appearance in Tampa. Awaiting Baltimore will be the NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers. Game day will take place February 3rd at the Mercedes Benz Superdome.
