George Steinbrenner 'The Boss' Succumbs To Massive Heart Attack

New York Yankees within two days of one another, lost their public address announcer & owner in Bob Sheppard and George Steinbrenner respectively on July 11Th & 13Th. He was known as the 'Boss' during his time as Yankee owner his team won 7 World Series titles including the franchise 27Th overall in 2009 to go along with 11 American League Pennants under his direction. He was a long time Ohio State Buckeye who once severed as a graduate assistant under Woody Hayes. George was also banned by the commissioner for three years from 1990-1993 prior to being reinstated. He was influential in free agency and how it began, selling cable rights to MSG Network, starting YES Network and building new Yankee Stadium. He'll always be known for wanting to win first and doing whatever it takes to bring the best players to New York, regardless of how much it'll cost the Yankees.
