Virgin Island born and Wake Forrest bred Duncan was headed to the southwest part of Texas. Meanwhile Hall Of Fame center David Robinson had a slew of individual achievements, yet an NBA Championship avoided him. Then came the strike shorten 1999 season where Duncan helped the Admiral capture his 1st title as well as the franchise 1st championship. Duncan would help lead San Antonio to 5 NBA titles and Robinson was long for a pair of them. La Marcus Aldridge is headed to San Antonio after leaving the only team he has ever known since entering the NBA out of Texas. Out with the old in Portland, in with the new in San Antonio. As Tim Duncan approaches 40, he can still play the game at a high level and the time is now for him and his teammates to add another Larry O'Brien trophy.
