Penn State Bowl Ban Lifted
The Penn State Nittany Lions are off to a 4-0 start to being the 2014 college football season. Saturday the Nittany Lions will play host to the Northwestern Wildcats. New head coach James Franklin the Pennsylvania native who was hired from Vanderbilt, once Bill O'Brien left Happy Valley for the NFL has been informed his team is bowl eligible immediately. Sophomore quarterback Christian Hackenberg leads the Penn State offense. He led the Nittany Lions to a last second come back win over in Ireland vs. Central Florida. Penn State loss leading receiver Allan Robinson to the NFL and several offensive lineman as well. Thus far Hackenberg has had to carry the offense due to the inexperience offensive line and inability to run the football constantly. I never thought the Penn State football program especially the current student athletes and coaching staff should be subjected to what Jerry Sandusky or even Joe Paterno did and didn't do respectively. Now that the bowl ban and post season ban is lifted the Nittany Lions are also eligible to play in the Big Ten Championship Game.
