Penn State vs. Nebraska Minus Joe Paterno

Tom Bradley will be the Penn State head coach Saturday vs. Nebraska at Beaver Stadium. Joe Paterno said Wednesday he would resign after the football season, hours later after a trustees meeting, he was rumored to be relieved of his duties over the telephone. Since the Jerry Sandusky child molestation charges have come to light, Penn State and it's community, along with it's campus has been in an uproar. Several parents and possible victims from the past are now coming out, saying the former Nittany Lion defensive coordinator, had done unthinkable acts to several boys. The years that standout are 1998 and 2002, when the man who made the term 'Linebacker U' famous, was witnessed more than once, showering with boys, supposedly even giving oral sex, making promises about making the football team or traveling to away games with Penn State. Many people believe Paterno did the correct thing legally by telling his athletic director (he's been fired), however Paterno didn't do the correct thing morally, by going to police himself after nothing was done. Truly unfortunate way for Joe Paterno to end a career, over 60 years of service to the University and over 40 years as head coach. However it's even more unfortunate for the victims and their families, as they'll be scared for life. From a football standpoint Penn State has a very important Big Ten game, it'll be interesting to see fan reaction Saturday during senior day, along with player reaction, in terms of focus after a long week of media all around campus all week. State College has been the media capital of the world or so it seemed this week.
