Charlie Manuel Phillies Struggle On Offense And Need To Find Answers

Currently the Philadelphia Phillies are in first place in the NL East. Thanks to Halladay, Lee, Hamels and Oswalt, Philadelphia's version of the dream team of starting pitching. Where would the team be without those players. Because the offense led by Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins and Shane Victorino is struggling. Which is probably and understatement. Philadelphia home and away are struggling to score 4 runs a game. There have been several games of scoring 1, 2 and 3 runs in games during the early season, also a few shutouts as well. Chase Utley the Phillies second base all star, hasn't played a game this season. However when he returns how good will he be, coming off a knee injury. Ryan Howard isn't seeing hitable pitchers from other teams. Rollins and Victorino aren't getting on base consistently and when they do, the support cast aren't moving runners along. With all the pitching Philadelphia has, they'll need offense to support their staff. Especially when your a World Series favorite like Philadelphia is.
