Craig Sager Say Hello To The NBA Finals Rookie

Craig Sager will work the NBA Finals for the 1st time in his career. ESPN & Turner whom Sager works for made it happen. Thursday night in Cleveland Sager and Doris Burke of ESPN will work the sidelines. This has to be a dream come true for Craig Sager. We all wonder what the wardrobe at Quicken Loans Arena will be. Craig Sager is continuing to fight cancer. He had resumed work for Turner during the NBA playoffs and prior to that, worked the NCAA Tournament. Despite the treatment which is taxing Sager continues to work as one of the best sideline reporters in all of sports. It's wonderful for the NBA Finals rookie Craig Sager ! Too finally get to work a NBA Finals sideline.

Muhammad Ali The Greatest For Multiple Reasons Rest Well Champ

Friday June 3rd the world, not just the sports world lost an icon. I'll keep this short and sweet. Really their isn't much I can write, type or say on www.darryl616.blogspot.com that hasn't already been said on various media outlets. Forget boxing, forget being the heavyweight championship of the world. The man born Cassius Clay in 1942 died as Muhammad Ali in 2016 and for the majority of those 78 years in between made an epic on so many lives. Regardless of being a man or women, boy or girl, black or white, this man made a global impact. He's gone. Yet he will never be forgotten. During his funeral service in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky the love and praise for him and his stamp on the world showed. He is the greatest yet, he's the greatest more so for what he did outside of the ring then inside of it.

Loveable Losers Are Winning And Winning And Winning

The Chicago Cubs are steam rolling the competition in 2016. Their current record stands at 43-18 which is the best record in baseball. The Texas Rangers of the American League current record of 39-24 is the 2nd best record in all of Major League Baseball. Home at Wrigley Field or away in at opposing ball parks the Cubs are getting it done. Jake Arrieta is the name we have all been hearing the last few years. He's leading the pitching world in just about everything. Arrieta is currently 10-1. The Cubs are trying to win their 1st World Series since the turn of last century. If the Chicago Cubs make it to the postseason make no mistake about it the pressure will be on. Especially if they are able to continue at this clip. Which could get Chicago close to or above 100 wins. Anything less then a World Series championship victory to reverse the curse, is the only medicine to heal Cub fans wounds.

Crosby / Conn Smythe / Cup

Late Monday evening on the east coast the NHL season was coming to an end. The Pittsburgh Penguins went on the road and closed out the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks were in the Stanley Cup Final for the 1st time in their 25 year history. Pittsburgh won their 4th Cup in franchise history. Meanwhile for Sydney Crosby the 28 soon to be 29 year old won his 2nd Cup. Crosby also added his 1st Conn Smythe trophy. The Penguins won their 2nd title in 7 years. Which is their 1st since 2009. On the west coast the Bay Area fans should applaud their team. Friday night down 3-1 in the series the Sharks won in Pittsburgh to push the series to a Game 6 back home. Pittsburgh rallied from a 3-1 series deficit vs. Tampa in the Eastern Conference Finals. Just to get to the championship round. Then in the Stanley Cup Final the Penguins would never trail in the series.
