Jackson & Friends Put Eagles Out Their Misery
The night after Christmas was the backdrop. Saturday Night Football on NFL Network. For one team a chance to win the NFC East for another team a chance to keep their season alive. Kirk Cousins for the 2nd time during the 2015 season made the Philadelphia pass defense look like Swiss cheese. Unlike the 90 yard game winning touchdown drive in Week 4 down in Washington, late game heroics weren't needed. Philadelphia took a 7-0 lead. Washington ultimately won the game 38-24. During Desean Jackson homecoming. The receiver was drafted by Philadelphia in 2008. Following the 2013 season Chip Kelly released him. Washington is 3-1 the last 2 years against the Eagles since Jackson has landed in the DMV. Tight end Jordan Reed was in beast mode well over 100 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns. There wasn't a Philadelphia linebacker or safety that could contain him. Washington improves to 9-6 with a chance at a double digit win season in Dallas next week. Meanwhile for 2nd straight year Eagles (6-9) will play a meaningless game up the New Jersey Turnpike against the Giants. Kelly and Lurie the Eagles head coach and owner will have plenty of questions to answer shortly at season end.

Cam Newton + Carolina 12-0 Start
The Carolina Panthers have a chance to capture home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. Cam Newton and his teammates have captured a second straight NFC South title. Head coach Ron Rivera football team plays physically on both sides of the football. The offense is physically aggressive as well as the defense. Cam Newton is the superstar of the team yet the supporting cast is tremendous. He has an up and coming cornerback on defense in Josh Norman. Also a pair of lights out linebackers in Davis and Kuechly. On offense the veteran fullback Mike Tolbert is a workhouse likewise for his backfield mate running back Jonathan Stewart. Meanwhile down the seem at tight end Greg Olsen makes plays. Carolina could be the NFC representative in Santa Clara for Super Bowl XL. However there's plenty of work to be done.
It's Only One Rule I Will Not Lose : Warriors 24-0 And Counting...
Obviously the guys from the Bay Area aren't going 82-0 yet this is extremely fun to watch. While Stephen Curry can dagger you with this shooting, dribbling and passing ability his comrades showed last year during the title run they can do damage themselves. Besides Curry, guys like Klay Thompson or Draymond Green can exploit an opponent. Big men can eat down low led by Andrew Bogut. Then there's the versatility of Finals MVP Andre Iguodala or Shaun Livington. There's the old head veteran like Barbosa. We didn't even mention Harrison Barnes who's been battling an injury. Interim coach Luke Walton has been going great in the absence of Steve Kerr. Kerr had a set back this summer following the Finals as he recovers from back surgery. It's just fantastic to watch history and watch fun basketball individually and collectively from the World Champions.
Harper Adds To Award Winning Year For Under Amour Athletes
Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals recently took home the 2015 NL MVP award. The outfielder who plays in the Nations Capital won it unanimous from the baseball writers. Tom Brady yeah we know that guy he won 2014 regular season MVP and Super Bowl XLIX MVP. He and his Under Amour counterpart Cam Newton who has Carolina 12-0 are in the race for 2015 NFL MVP. Oh yeah Stephen Curry won the 2014-15 NBA MVP and may have already clinched the 2015-16 MVP award. While gunning for back to back NBA titles. Last but not least Jordan Spieth won the 2015 Masters and is the world's number one ranked golfer. Need I say more
Hey Under Armour MVP Race Could Be Over Already
A little over a quarter into the 2015-16 NBA season. Really just starting the month of December and Under Armour could have a winner again. Say what ? 2014-15 NBA MVP Stephen Curry could win another MVP award and it's not even close. Barring major injury obviously where is the competition to dethrone this guy. He's come back better than ever. Steph is leading the association in scoring 32.5 points per game. Add in 6 assists 5 rebounds and 2 steals per night. As this is being written Golden State in 24-0. Curry has put the work in behind the scenes and basically is un guard able. Pick your poison from Chef Curry basically and hope for the best.
The Road To The (Football) Final Four
Year two of the College Football Playoff is here. Last year we saw Ohio State defeat Oregon to win the National Championship. Ohio State and Oregon advanced by beating Alabama and defending National Champion Florida State. This year it will be a New Years Eve semifinal featuring undefeated Clemson vs. Oklahoma down in the Orange Bowl. Meanwhile a pair of one loss teams will play at the Cotton Bowl : Alabama vs. Michigan State. Power Conference match ups ACC vs. Big 12 and SEC vs. Big Ten. The winners of those games will play for all the marbles in the desert of Glendale, Arizona. The next 2-3 weeks leading up to the semis and title games should be exciting.
Mission Accomplished KC World Series Champions
30 years in the making, 1985 was the last time the Royals were the kings of Major League Baseball. Those Royals were led by Hall of Fame player George Brett as they beat cross state rival St. Louis. In 2014 the Royals brought baseball life back to Kansas City. Royals fans witnessed playoff baseball for the first time in a long time. 30 years worth the wait because of that magical 2014 postseason run. It begin with an epic comeback in the Wild Card game and fell just short vs. San Francisco in a literal Fall Classic. No Wild Card game this year. Kansas City won the AL Central then would beat the Houston Astros in the ALDS & Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS. The NL Champion New York Mets were hot coming into the 2015 World Series. The Royals cooled them down quickly with a 5 game diamond dominance. Winning the title in 5 (4-1) finishing the Mets off in the Big Apple. While taking the trophy back to the Midwest. Coming into 2016 Spring Training all eyes will be on the young Royals. Kansas City will look to repeat.
